Mansion House Hotel

The Hotel is excellent, located in a superb location in front of the sea.

Located in a superb location in front of the sea and the Mansion House is potentially a great little hotel.

The location of the hotel is also great, on the quiet South Cliff with great view over the harbour and a short walk to the beach and town.

Not sure how long it would take to walk into the town, but would guess 20 minutes there - and 30 minutes back (up hill), but as the hotel brochure advises a bus stops outside, so dont let that put you off.

The sausages were those cheap things that you get at the worst transport caffs and greasy spoons.

The furniture was of very good quality and the spacious, premier seaview room had a comfortable bed & a large, wall-mounted plasma TV screen.

The hotel guest bathroom was also useful as my partner used the bath a couple of times which was very nice as the room did not have a bath in it.

Booked a superior room with sea-view, the room was a reasonable size, but the bathroom (I use the word bathroom) it was a partioned off corner of the bedroom.

The room had Double sofa bed, double bed and single bed.

Thought the location was great and the bed was comfy the windows opened to allow in lots of sea air.

The restaurant staff were friendly and efficient while the traditional cooked breakfast was ample, we had two evening meals which were also good and not expensive.

The standard of service and food was excellent and it would be impossible to find a comparable evening meal at an external restaurant for the price paid.

We didn't eat an evening meal but the breakfast was lovely with a good choice.

The food was excellent, breakfast was hearty and on the occasion we had the evening meal, it was nicely done and reasonable @£11.

Breakfast was just right – plenty of food, cooked on request, and we had no problems with asking for amendments to the set choices.

Service is very attentive,friendly and efficient - lovely staff -real treasures.

The hotel is very well located to the south of the town – about 15 minutes walk to the town centre – and has plenty of free car parking spaces outside.

The location is superb and with none restricted safe car parking only adds to our desire to return to the Mansion House at the earliest point.

The welcome was excellent with a complimentary drink, all areas were incredibly clean & fresh flowers in the public rooms added colour.

The staff are very helpful and friendly, all the rooms are spotless.

The Hotel is impeccably presented, huge spacious rooms, clean, well furnished.

Furthermore the staff very friendly, clean room and non of cheap pillows.

The rooms are spotless and the breakfasts are cooked to perfection served by a very helpful.
