We loved the tranquil location of the hotel, surrounded by nature and with a view of the lake from our room. The outdoor pool hidden in the woods was a unique and refreshing experience. The spacious and well-appointed rooms, along with the big bathroom, provided us with comfort during our stay. The hotel's horse riding facilities and proximity to various attractions, as well as being close enough to the airport, made it a convenient and enjoyable destination. We also enjoyed the elegant and old-world charm of the public rooms, which added to the overall experience.
Nothing, everything was great.

The outdoor pool in the woods was mind-blowing, offering a serene sanctuary for relaxation. The smart restaurant exceeded our expectations with its delectable cuisine. The tranquility of the surroundings was a refreshing escape from the bustling city. The big bathroom provided ample space for comfort. The breathtaking view of the lake from our room was jaw-dropping. We were delighted by the chance to encounter wildlife and admire the majestic horses on the property. The central location made it convenient to explore various attractions and the close proximity to the airport was a bonus. The peace and quiet of the stay was only enhanced by the comfortable bed in our basic yet cozy room. The breakfast and lunch were of good standard, and we indulged in the great wine selection that offered excellent value for money. The expansive property impressed us with its amenities, including tennis courts, and the outdoor swimming pool provided a refreshing dip. The grounds and setting were pleasing, particularly for those interested in horse riding or for our dog to roam. The spacious and comfortable rooms were elegantly appointed, and the abundance of hot water in the full-sized bath added to the overall experience. The old-world charm of the public rooms added a touch of elegance to our dining experiences.

The hotel is in a quiet attractive location. Dinner on the terrace at the end of a hot (39C) day was particularly enjoyable, as was the food and selectionof wines. The only down side was that there was no air conditioning in the bedroom which would have been welcome at the end of a particularly hot day.

Everything. From arrival until departure we loved everything. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and on ground floor as we had requested. The restaurant was spacious, light and airy and the food and staff superb.

This hotel offers great value for money, with affordable prices and attention to detail. The location of the hotel, nestled in the woods near a chateau, provides a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the main street. It's also conveniently close to the airport, making it a convenient option for travelers.
That the rooms could get a bit warm during the day, even with the windows open.

Location, menu, food
The reception staff denied receipt of the booking through yourselves and offered more expensive rooms, later telling us it was too late to change. Whilst the extra cost was only €56 it was extremely annoying especially as it was plainly obvious they had received the booking. Otherwise the staff were friendly and efficient Additionally the "superior" room we were chared for was anything but, having a broken shower, stained coverlet, and generally tired and dated fittings.

Nice quirky old chateau style hotel, grounds and setting hard to beat. Excellent pool and very relaxing area to enjoy the countryside. The standard rooms are very small, we upgraded for an extra 25 euros, and the difference for the cost was huge.
Evening meal was served outside in a memorable setting, service good and wine excellent. however, the evening meal was truly awful, none of the courses matched the setting. Cream from a spray can, inedible salmon, tasteless fish and stringy steak. Buffet breakfast good. Nice place just don't eat your evening meal there.

The hotel grounds are stunning and offer a peaceful escape from the city hustle. The wine menu was extensive and the onsite equestrian center provided a unique experience, suitable for travelers seeking fun activities. the hotel conveniently provides transportation services to local areas of interest for a reasonable fee.
The room was uncomfortably hot and the buzzing mosquitos outside kept me up at night. The towels provided were small, thin, and unusable.

When we arrived at 6 pm, the hotel staff told us that the restaurant was fully booked that evening and proposed us to have supper in Bergerac, which is the nearest possibility to dine, but which is about 12 km from the hotel. They even proposed a place and made the reservation. On our remark that the restaurant has thus less capacity in the restaurant than in the hotel was agreed. In addition was said that for "late bookers" often no place in the restaunt was available. (We booked the evening before!) If the hotel would have been in a city, the problem would have been less. But to be obliged to return to the town at 12 km from which we just came is frustrating. So be aware if you are a backpacker or a cyclist!

The dinner was well prepared and presented and was of a very good quality.
We were extremely disappointed with our room. Even though it was a standard room it was extremely small with little space to move around. It did not live up to the photographs on the website.

The hotel had a lovely setting with lots of outdoor activities such as horse riding and tennis. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of hot water for a relaxing bath after a long day of exploring. Breakfast was delicious, offering a range of fresh and tasty foods to keep you going throughout the day.
The hotel's website was a bit misleading, stating that the swimming pool was heated when it was actually outside and empty. The food was not spectacular, and some items were not up to par with traditional French cuisine.

Stayed there a few years ago was really looking forward to staying again. Oh dear, now an awful downgraded hotel catering for the coach party travelodge type of traveller. Ok if this is what you expect. But it was a luxury hotel with fine dining and an air of discreet luxury, not cheap but very good and an awfully nice place to stay. Now it is just awful. Tred rooms which we would not accept and insisted that this was not as described on your website. Not to be reccomended to stay in unless you want an overnight cheap stay.
See above its awful, but I must say that the evening dinner was acceptabe for the price paid but certainly no wow factor how the hotel used to be

If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway close to the airport, then this charming chateau in the woods is the perfect choice. The location, nestled in the tranquility of the forest, offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. You can enjoy leisurely walks and exploration, with the added bonus of horse riding for those who are keen. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, providing a cozy retreat after a day of adventure. The large and well-appointed bathroom ensures a luxurious experience, complete with plenty of hot water and a full-sized bath. The elegant dining area exudes old-world charm, making every meal a special occasion.
It is unfortunate that the website provided misleading information, stating that the hotel is located on "Main Street," when it is actually nowhere near a main street. This false information can be confusing for guests who are trying to find the property.
