Absolutely nothing. I found it soul less unfriendly, pretentious and restrictive. It had a very good kitchen. Overall I would not choose to stay in this hotel again except to eat.

Charming manor house, full of character and beautifully restored. Excellent restaurant.
When booking restaurant for second night were not told that degustation menu would be the same. Breakfast should be simpler and cheaper.

The hotel has been beautifully restored, the rooms are very attractive - however this is where the romance ends. We can only liken the experience to staying at Fawlty Towers - and would not recommend a stay at this hotel, especially if you are English - (the rather owner Francois openly talked and laughed about us - in French during our meal - to other guests - which was extremely uncomfortable for me and my husband - who happened to be on our honeymoon! Also shocked to find huge collection of very x-rated Porn in the guest lounge - mixed in with other normal DVDs - thought this very unprofessional given the regal nature of the hotel. Nowhere for a drink after meal, bar closes 10.30pm?
The owner Francois is rude, unprofessional and unfriendly. Our room had no bath only a shower and lights that were on timers! Not ideal as they go off after a few minutes! You must eat in the restaurant if you stay at the hotel (this is confirmed by a blunt email prior to your arrival) The food in the restaurant is average - with a unjustified price tag - service is even worse! A fly landed in my husband's wine and the owner simply removed it with a knife and expected him to drink it - our shocked expressions eventually led him to give us a new glass of wine! Our room came with a welcome book (or should we say rule book). It is full or dos and donts - made us feel like we were at school not guests. Awful atmosphere, it's like a museum!!

Everything was done in superb good taste and the dinner, a la carte, was simply one of the best meals that we have ever eaten. Mind you, you have to spend the kid's inheritance but why not?
The proprietor was a bit of a challenge to say the least! However, if you persevere, he is charm personified.

We loved the Manoir's location right in the middle of the vineyards of Bourgeuil in the Loire. It's a beautifully designed hotel but has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The bedroom was spacious and it had a lovely big shower room. The staff were very helpful and arranged an early evening visit to a nearby vineyard where we had great fun and sampled some delicious wines. Dinner in the restaurant is quite a gourmet affair but the dress code was fairly informal for what was a rather formal dining room. We would certainly go there again.

It was delightful to stay in such a restful and historic building. The manor would not suit everyone but for those looking for something different this is worth a visit.
There is no air conditioning which some may find difficult especially at night

Wonderful property in quiet area. Room was large, comfortable and with a great bathroom. The Manoir has a wonderful restaurant, which is a real treat, but not inexpensive. Staff at the Manoir were superb and truly attentive. Wonderful breakfasts are served in a beautiful dining area. We would definitely return if in the area. While located in the countryside, the Manoir is well situated for a number of chateaux visits including Villandry and visits to Saumur and Chinon.
This is a trivial point, but as Americans, we were challenged by the key system and had difficulty locking and unlocking doors in the establishment. Management does not allow any food or drink taken into the rooms. I can understand the concern for maintaining the cleanliness of the property, but not being able to enjoy local wine in the room is not ideal.
