Sundays] It's a short walk from the Manohra to the River Taxi dock in front of the Oriental Hotel.

Like a pair of fools we booked this hotel on arrival at Bangkok Airport - the girl at the office was pushing this one as a "special" offer - 1500 baht/night.

I stayed at Mahnora Hotel for 2 nights(5 and 6 August 2006) in a standard twin bed room.

The bathroom fixings have black rubber rims around the tubs and sinks, very unappealing.

I found a pair of briefs under the bed when my shoes were accidently kicked under.

The room is acceptable for a budget hotel but the staff are extremely calculative when it comes to asking for more water/towels.

The Ugly: I was told the room included two free bottles of water a day, but when I went to check out I was given a bill for all the water I drank, even though it did not exceed the 2 daily bottles.

The breakfast is decent, but the restaurant surroundings is just a little worn down.

Don't miss the HARMONIQUE RESTAURANT for home cooked Thai food down the alley behind Yoo Lim's Jewelry on New Road.

The breakfast was free, but that must be the only way they get anyone to eat it.

It's clean and there is a good breakfast buffet.

Not many good restaurants in the area except Pakistini.

Front desk and cleaning staff are very friendly, speak great English, extremely helpful with business services, and are great problem solvers.

The Good: Very clean, excellent maid service.

I have stayed there twice a year for eight years, and never been offered "girls" by the hotel staff.

The only positive thing I can say is that the staff were quite nice and very professional.

The staff refused to return my hefty key deposit until I had paid for all the overpriced water.

The customers are a little on the rougher side, many Indian families who loiter at the main lobby sitting area.

The lobby looked spank and clean but when I reached the hallway it was covered with a dirty red coloured carpet.

Another minus is that the rooms are decently clean, but definitely run-down.

My room wasn't clean and was very dusty [especially underneath the bed].

The bathroom although fallry clean had ancient bathroom fittings.
