Malmaison Reading - 雷丁

I would reccomend this hotel as it is in a very central location for exploring Reading.

The location is brilliant for the centre of Reading, the bath is big enough for two.

The location was ideal and rooms had great decor.

Great sitting areas and right opposite Reading train station is excellent.

We were spending the weekend at Henley Regatta and wanted to be close to the station.

The best room is Mallard which has a lobby, a screened bedroom area, a fantastic bathroom with an enormous beautiful wooden bath with twin shower heads over, a lounge area with patio, a second toilet…and it even has it’s own train set!

This latest visit we stayed in "GWR", which has a good-sized bathroom, nice leather sofas in the lounge area, and steps up to the bedroom area, which is behind a partition screen which has a tv facing the bed, and another facing the sofa.

The bathroom was unusual - at the opposite end of the room from the bed, along a corridor and up a small curved staircase.

The room itself was of an excellent standard with superb furnishing, everything in working order and the bed was excellent.

The room was clean, the bed was amazingly comfortable - the food from room service was fantastic and the aircon was very efficient.

Ate breakfast in the restaurant on one of the mornings - good selection of really great quality - plus cooked breakfasts a la carte.

Bar was very quiet and breakfast was also well above average.

THe bathroom was lovely and all the staff in the hotel were excellent, from reception to bar staff to the restaurant.

Good friendly staff - interesting restaurant - comfortable (but expensive) bar.

I've eaten room service here which was fine and also eaten breakfast which was equally fine (although it's always been deathly quiet when I've been to breakfast).

The staff were always happy to be of service, the receptionist was lovely and we were given a free upgrade to a king size suite was nice.

Not the standard hotel stuff- nice designs and the staff on the front desk were very friendly.

Service really good too, beautiful bedroom and restaurant staff were very welcoming and attentive.

On our first visit we stayed in "Ghan" –which has a lobby (with cupboards and coat stand!

Firstly they did not advise on either the booking or the website that there is no parking so you have to park in an NCP car park (although it is very close - but not easy to find).

They all have free wireless internet access, and I-Pod speaker docks.

The room was clean and food was good served by waitress was very knowledgeable.

Our room was very cosy and clean and the lighting was not fantastic but this was not a problem to us as we were not on a buisness visit.
