Malmaison Oxford - 牛津

This is centrally located in Oxford so location can't be beat.

Very delayed in writing this review but just wanted to say it's a great hotel with a really good location close to shops and restaurants.

The hotel is in an excellent location right next to the castle and we were able to use it as a base to explore the beautiful city of Oxford on foot.

We turned up too early to check in, but my car was taken into the underground car park staright away and delivered back when we left.

All easily accessible on foot if you want to go where Morse and Lewis tread.

Our room was lovely with three original prison cells having been converted to one bedroom with an en-suite, the bathroom was fabulous with a large double end bath and oversized separate shower cubicle.

The room was absolutely amazing, gorgeous decor, huge bed and free standing bath complete with candles!

Our room was a superior double bedroom which was two cells knocked into one for the bedroom area and then one cell as the bathroom, the bathroom was lovely and had a huge roll top bath and separate walk in shower.

We stayed on the 4th floor which the receptionist said was an upgrade, rooms were very nicely done 2cells converted into the bedroom with the third as the bathroom c/w bath and large walk in shower.

The climate control worked just right, the bathroom was superb with a huge stand-alone bath and separate walk-in shower, the in-room safe was at head height, and the shutters on the windows worked perfectly to keep the day at bay the next morning.

The food was excellent - 2 good breakfasts and we ate in the restaurant on the second evening and had a lovely meal prepared with local produce.

There are lots of places to eat and drink a couple of seconds from Mal's front door - do try Carluccios for lunch or breakfast, and there's also a Pizza Express, Living Room and an Italian restaurant amongst other things.

Breakfast was fantastic, if a bit pricey, but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from if eating in the hotel isn't what you fancy.

Food and wine in the restaurant was amazing and the breakfast was HUGE!

The hotel's restaurant is very nice too, one recommendation here; don't bother with the all Bed Breakfast and Evening Meal package unless you're on a strict budget as the set menu is very restrictive.

All in all a great hotel service, in particular from the reception, concierge and valet guys.

Our reserved parking space wasn't available and the staff on reception were way too busy making them abrupt & brusque.

Glasgow and Newcastle I can say they all offer a superb service, backed by brilliant staff and provide you with a welcome, classy feeling.

We ate in the Brasserie, and had a lovely meal, with excellent service from all staff.

It does really annoy me when people complain about stupid things like lack of car parking - as if they read the company's website they will note that parking is very limited and you need ot reserve this is advance.

Once you added breakfast, dinner and car parking it soon totted up.

Drinks are expensive in the hotel and the car parking was?

Unusual building, friendly staff and no room not clean very noisy.

The room was clean and food was very good.

Our room was clean, and had a nice view over Oxford.

Rooms were comfortable, spacious, clean and quiet.

The room was spacious, well appointed, surprisingly light and very clean.
