Malmaison Glasgow - 格拉斯哥

In short, great hotel, fab location close to the centre but not right in amongst the action, courteous staff but the restaraunt needs a bit if tweaking.

We picked the hotel due to location and when we visited it to view it the service was exceptional - and hence sealed the deal.

quiet location and i liked the general ambience: the rooms are good quality.

I arrived by cab from the airport, thank God for that.

There was a huge bed, huge sofa and tartan bath in the suite, but I found that this made the room feel somewhat cramped.

Our room was really modern with 2 suede couches, marble tops in the bathroom, wool cushions etc and the bed was an oversize king bed in a seperate bedroom upstairs.

The bed was comfortable, our room was very clean and the bathroom was modern.

The room was quite small and there was little room to get around the bed to make it to the bathroom.

Our room, a double on the 4th floor with kingsize bed, was quite small but nothing compared to bathroom which proved awkward to navigate.

I have stayed at the Glasgow Mal several times including when the Champagne bar area was a breakfast bistro and the entrance to the restaurant n the crypt was sharp right from reception.

The breakfast was very good and they make a mean gin and tonic as well as some rather affected cocktails, courtesy of their "mixologists" at the Mal cocktail bar.

Breakfast was similar high-quality [but mediocre coffee] and refreshingly plated hot breakfasts cooked to order rather than withering on hotplates.

The food in the restaurant and I can recommend the eggs benedict for breakfast.

We also ate in the restaurant one night and although not fantastic, the food was decent bistro type food and fine if you don't want to go too far.

The hotel is excellent, reception staff are wonderful.

Thankfully, the staff at reception welcomed us warmly and the room (on the 4th floor) was a delightful haven.

The weather may have been a little grey and damp but the welcome from reception staff certainly wasn't.

The parking was on street but there were bags of spaces and it is free overnight and on a Sunday and then only?

We came by train so parking was not an issue for us but I can see it would be if you came by car.

Location is very very central, although parking weekdays won't be easy or cheap.

Free WI-FI in public areas and friendly atmosphere.

The room was spotless and coffee/tea tray was great.

On the day we arrived, when we were brought up to our room, we noticed it was small but it was clean and very modern looking.

Or room was very clean but located on the ground floor and seemed to be on a though-route corridor.
