  The hotel is beautiful, the pool is really a sight to see. There is a lot of walking involved to get from the lobby to the beach. Our first problem was that most of the employees don't speak english,so its hard to comminicate with them.

• Everything was amazing, I was beyond impressed, this place really set the bar high, I couldn’t believe it! Our second week we were supposed to go to the Riu Palace Punta Cana which was hugely recommended by a lot of people… we were depressed as soon as we got there, we wanted to go back to the majestic so badly, apparently you can switch back, all you need to do is find your rep and pay the charge for the room differences for the two hotels and you can switch, something we didn’t know until we inquired. There are tones of other awesome staff there, the whole animation team is awesome, they really try and get you to participate and teach you to dance and have a good time, beach parties and private dinners are awesome, we took a group of 27 and everybody was stunned at how amazing everything was, a huge selection of amazing food and drinks and an awesome time!

  Overall, the experience was very good and we would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a compromise between price, amenities, and quality for anyone staying in Punta Cana. Although this is an all-inclusive resort, tipping always helps you get better service. It is definitely an American influenced way of eating, so if you aren't used to it then expect service to not be nearly as attentive when you don't tip. Also, we didn't tip unless the service was good because there were some great servers and not-so-great servers at the resort. I will admit that we are somewhat biased here, since we had a beachfront room on the third floor (room numbers 2345-2350) and had no problems with our A/C, mold, or room-cleaning. We had plenty of towels, actually an excess of towels, and had everything we needed. We also took advantage of room-service, since it was included in our package, almost everyday during our stay. Overall, the room was clean, spacious, free of smell (we were on 3rd floor) and cool.

  The billiards/ping-pong area for kids is really lacking and could use a face-lift.

  Arrival had no problems, front desk was quick and polite and understood english. Bags brought to our junior suite rooms, we had a connecting room for our 2 kids, aged 18 & 15. Could not believe the beautiful view of the pool and beach! The shower could fit 6 people but the toilet was a little small. Welcome bottle of wine in the room along with a letter stating we could get breakfast and champagne delivered one morning no extra charge.

  The beds were a little hard for my taste but my husband has a bad back and he loved it. We did not care for the chinese food but not because it was bad but it was just different from what we were used to.

  Overall, we felt received an excellent deal and were very pleased with the service they gave. When you collect your baggage at the very large hut they consider an airport, you will then be thrown into a pit of valets that want to take your bags and escort you to your transfer agency. The shower was very nice, but they only give you two towels, and if room service doesn't clean your room at the right time, you have to use the same set again. Room service did a good job cleaning, but was very inconsistent with the timing.

  When we arrived at the hotel, we were given a cold towel (but no drink! They were able to "upgrade" us to a poolside room. I was very disappointed when we got to the room.

• The jaccuzzi in the room was great, used that a few times. The bed was fine, pillows were flat, but extras are in the closet or a call away to the front desk. We always found the staff friendly, courteous, and always willing to help, even if it took a bit to find a common understanding. The Dominican food is a buffet there and great stuff to choose from.

  Hola, mi esposo y yo hemos estado una semana maravillosa en punta cana, celebrando nuestro 25 aniversario de bodas, nuestra estancia fue magnifica, los cuartos son amplios, tu puedes pedir con dos camas dobles o cama king, la nuestra tenía jacuzzi dentro de la habitacion y en forma abierta, la vista de nuestro cuarto era al jardin, de hecho el hotel tiene pocas habitaciones con vista al mar, el hotel es muy grande, el area de playa es extensa con todos los camastros disponibles que te puedas imaginar, tiene 7 restaurantes, de los cuales el mejor el el gourmet, tienen una comida gormet deliciosa,.

  I've never seen so many staff working at a resort. The pool is fantastic and stretches the whole length of the resort. We didn't try the Japanese but the food in all all the other a la carte restaurants as well as the buffet was excellent. We were warned not to drink the water in the rooms but were assured that everywhere else use purified water; ice cubes, salad's etc.

  However, the problem I observed was extremely poor food handling and food preparation techniques.
