The location of the hotel was good for walking to the nearby grocery and small restuarants.

Our airport transfer was amazing, the location of the hotel was good for walking to the nearby grocery and most Staff was reasonably friendly.

It has a good location - 5 minutes to grocery, rent-a-something and 10 minutes to Matira beach.

I don't understand the moaners - our shower was great; there is a big MaiTai desk at the airport instructing you to get on the huge taxi boat with everyone else, you'd have to be blind to miss it, and you are met at the other end.

Enough of that, after getting into the airport in Bora Bora a clearly stated sign told hotel guests to get on the boat and transport would meet them at the dock, which lo and behold it did.

We were informed that they would not have a room with a Queen/King sized bed available for us so they were putting two full sized beds together, not temporarily, that was the way we were to spend our time there.

I was not at all impressed with Le Maitai Polynesia Bora Bora, there was only 1 of 2 restaurants open with a limited menu, and the food at that restaurant was so bad we only ate 2 dinners there.

The restaurant was ok for our included breakfast, we didn't try lunch or dinner here.

We found the food at the beachside restaurant to be fantastic and ate lunch there every day.

The restaurants were reasonably priced in comparison to other restaurants on the island and served delicious cuisine - book reservations in advance for a guaranteed spot at the time of your choosing.

Reception staff was friendly and the room was very clean and private.

The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the service varied only one lady was really nice to us.

The staff know you are not big spenders and without exception appeared to not give a toss about service.

The service was sub-par and staff were not friendly or helpful, they were very confused and not organized on arrival.

I would advise staying at the Novotel, same price, better facilities, pool by the ocean and no nonsense.

When we landed on the motu in the waters off Bora Bora proper, we looked for our hotel greeter in the lobby, of all of the hotels on the island, Le Maitai Polynesia's greeter was the only one not there.

For those looking for a pool, there is not one for a reason: the lagoon is the most beautiful pool you could ask for - it was very clean, clear, and SO warm - nature's own perfect pool.

The beach was very nice, our garden view rooms were clean and the hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
