Although dinner is not served at the hotel there are plenty of good restaurants, (prices to suit), in the town.
In the rooms and spread all over the hotel there's an incredible collection of interesting literature - despite the value and appeal of what I believe are collector's editions, they're available for guests to flick through them.
It doesn't have all the facilities of a hotel of the same price.
A lovely little bay, excellent situation and comfortable and homely hotel felt like home away from home.
The location is perfect, very close to the historic center.
The things that stand out most about La Minervetta are the design of the rooms and the stunning location.
La Minervetta is a ten minute easy walk to the start of the main town and about a further 10 minutes to the main square so it’s location makes it very peaceful and worth the walk.
A cab from the hotel to Naples Airport is 90 Euros.
Getting to the Naples airport: It was recommended by the hotel to take the bus to the airport.
The room itself was quite large, with the most gorgeous lemon yellow ceramic floor tiles, lots of storage space, 2 huge windows with sliding doors leading to 2 balconies, a large sofa and a bed facing the window.
Beautifully decorated, tile floors, amazing views, shower, tub, mini bar, tons of tv channels, nice towels, supplied toiletries (including hair dryer).
The guest rooms and common areas are exceedingly comfortable, welcoming and exquisitely decorated.
The staff is small and friendly as you'd expect at a bed & breakfast.
The jazzy music helped us relax while sipping a hot drink before bed in the terrace overlooking a view of Sorrento.
On arrival were given a brief tour of the hotel, firstly being led through the open plan lounge area to the dining/breakfast area.
Audrey Hepburn scrapbook and autographed Lou Reed book in the lounge area, numerous little hideaway terraces to sit in private in the sun, amazing breakfasts on the terrace).
The marina hosts various restaurants, one of which - I think it was called Del Fino - we had two cracking and reasonably priced meals.
I would say that it was not convenient to the shops or restaurants in town, meaning that you would need to call a cab or walk a bit for dinner or shopping.
An added bonus are the generous and delicious breakfasts served in the dining room or on the terrace each morning.
The best views, the customer service lagged far behind the well thought-out decor and the staff were always very attentive.

Helpful front desk, very good air conditioning and most staff are friendly especially Terence made us our excellent coffee every morning.
The swimming pool is like a large jacuzzi, the breakfast is a lovely.
The rooms are superb and the pool is more of a big Jacuzzi.
No beach that you could swim in and no pool only a jacuzzi.
Free wireless internet or an internet computer would make it even better.
The rooms are beautiful and so fresh and clean.
Furthermore the rooms are spotlessly clean, the terrace in the morning for breakfast is superb.
The staff were GREAT, the rooms themselves were spacious and spotless, the breakfast was a very good buffet.

Room was fabulous, the breakfast buffet was incredible - great fresh pastries and the pool was amazing for escaping.
