Macdonald Holyrood Hotel Edinburgh - 爱丁堡

Ideally located away from the madding crowds, the hotel has a great location for sight seeing and the staff are always welcoming.

Quiet location, situation of the hotel too - within very easy reach of the city centre.

Great location at the bottom of the Royal Mile close to Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament.

It cost us about £20 in a taxi from the airport.

Get the airport bus to Edinburgh waverley station and walk up into the main high street and then down to the new parliament and science exhibit.

Our room was on third floor as you enter there is a bathroom with shower to left marble looking floor and fab big towels, bed was huge we had seated area, and a well stocked mini bar.

The double room and bathroom is spacious (though it might not seem so when you first walk in the room) and very clean, and the bed and bedding warm and comfortable.

TV, Fridge, comfy bed, tea and coffee and nice bathroom).

The best thing about having a suite was access to the 'library' which was a designated room for guests staying in suites only.

The room was very comfortable, well maintained, with a really comfortable bed.

The restaurant and bar are quite pleasant and the breakfast is good.

The breakfasts were of top quality but me and my partner chose to eat dinner elsewhere as it can be quite pricey and meals are more fish-based in the restaurant which is fine if you like that sort of thing.

We had breakfast and dinners at their Opus Restaurant and the food was excellent.

We only ate at the hotel for breakfasts (very good) as there so many restaurants in town.

The piano bar and restaurant are first class.

An hour later and there was no member of staff in sight, so I had to return to the hotel reception where a concierge then attempted to locate a member of staff with no success.

The lobby is impressive, and the front desk staff were fairly friendly.

But the restaurant staff could use some serious customer service training.

The concierge service is excellent; they greet you when you arrive, and attend to your requests as best they can.

The hotel is a 4star with an indoor pool, sauna, gym, steam-room and hydro-spa.

I got a great deal through Easyjet and was very pleased that this four star hotel, is a four star hotel, the staff were consistantly professional and friendly, the room was very nice, as was the pool, sauna and jacuzzi.

The leisure facilities, including a gym and pool, were excellent.

Location was good - quiet, the staff were very helpful and polite, the room was very clean.

Stayed here for a 3 night midweek break and found the rooms and surroundings clean and well kept.

The bathroom and shower all worked fine and everything was clean and well maintained.

The room was extremely comfortable, good size, imaculately clean.
