Luxor Hilton - 樂蜀

Some of the interior could do with a facelift, but the staff are charming, the rooms are clean and the food better than most hotels in Luxor and we loved the location on the Nile outside the town.

The location of the hotel is a little out of town, but there are regular free shuttles to the centre, so no real problem.

For me the location oughtweighs any small problems the hotel presented.

If they ask what hotel you are staying in never say yours and say you are leaving the next day or they will hound you to be your personal taxi with whatever transport they have.

Always get the price before getting in the taxi!

The students crammed into one tiny room (one double bed and an extra roll away; there was no room to walk).

Rooms - We had a club room, large balcony overlooking the nile, very clean and newly decorated.

The rooms and bathroom are very clean and ours was a good size with balcony.

We got bed bug bites on our feet legs and arms.

We read the reviews before leaving the UK and decided to book just 2 days but ended up staying for 6 as it was a great place to be, the rooms were clean with fruit, water, tea and coffee, the staff were great and the views fabulous.

Food was generally good, and the main restaurant had a different meal theme every night, although the breakfasts could be a bit monotonous.

The views were fantastic, hotel restaurants very nice in particular Asian restaurant was excellent.

Great breakfasts, and fairly wide range of restaurants on-site (Egyptian, Italian, Chinese.

Each night saw a different theme in the restaurant and there was plenty to choose from, spoilt for choice at breakfast!

The creation of two more restaurants (one Chinese) has damage the popularity of others, particularly the bar grill which once served excelent shisha on the terrace overlooking the West Bank.

The Hotel was old and tired but the service and the staff were wonderful.

Most of the reception staff were rude and not helpfull.

However, our all inclusive deal was a bargain - the food was excellent and the staff treated us like royalty.

Since 1992,every year except one, the Luxor Hilton feels like home, the staff feel like family, the setting is Paradise, and we often meet other 'regulars' who love the hotel.

Pool is perfect, perched looking straight at the Nile.

Pool - yes a few of the sun loungers had chipped paint and the odd spot of rust but if that really bothers you , then i feel sorry for you.

The heated pool is a definite plus in the winter season.

The rooms were clean and tidy but needed updating.

The rooms were scrupulously clean, so I would give it recommendation.

Beautifully clean and attractive room (we were upgraded to deluxe which had a balcony looking onto the Nile with no other buildings obscuring the view which is unusual I think, because the hotel is right on the river).

The rooms are still very clean, the swimmming pool kept in good condition but recent refurbishment works have turned most of the gardens of the hotel into a building site.

Rooms were clean and spacious, though the cleaning staff were a little over attentive for our liking!
