Los Delfines Hotel - A Summit Hotel Lima - 利马

It was a pretty extensive buffet with hot and cold options and set up in a bright location with a view on the dolphins.

It is 10 minute taxi drive to the business part of San Isidro where most companies and banks are located.

They have a large bathroom with tub, coffee maker, iron board, cable TV (including free HBO, Movie City and other premium channels), etc.

For example a small bottle of water supplied to each guest room was $6 USD-- the highest fee charged by any hotel we stayed in in three weeks!

We had all bed sheets changed once at 2:00 am without problem and our check-out time was extended without charge so we could wait at the hotel until the time to head to the airport.

In one occasion, I was asked (more than asked, almost forced) to change my room twice because they have had a problem with other rooms.

Well furnished room and a nice printer makes easy.

Food: It has two restaurants with interesting choices and not-that-interesting price, and a bar on the basement where you can see the dolphins swim.

Furthermore the bathrooms are nice, some interesting choices of finger food at the bar on the afternoons.

We never dined at the restaurant because there was so much to do, and so many places to eat.

Other than that (with the exception of the Country Club Hotel and the recently opened Starbucks right in front) there are not restaurants or shops around the hotel.

Good “pisco sour” and some interesting choices of finger food (“piqueos” in Spanish) at the bar on the afternoons.

Front desk staff was really friendly and helpful, even though I know I can be really demanding.

The service at the front desk was horrible to say the least.

Service is unstable, because they have a great personnel turnover.

It has a large pool where two dolphins (which give the hotel its name –“delfines” is the Spanish word for dolphins) swim around.

The lobby area has been redecorated, with a questionable taste, in my opinion.

Also, you should be aware that the hotel keeps two wild dolphins in a very, very small pool for the entertainment of their guests.

The business center is ok with free high speed Internet and a nice printer which makes it easy.

Upon our arrival, we were helped quickly at the check in desk and our bags taken to a spacious clean and well furnished room.
