The view spectacular, public areas of the hotel are nicely appointed and the prices are high for Argentina.

Los Cauquenes is very new, and on the shores of the Beagle Channel with nice views of the Chilean Isla Navarino and the Ushuaia airport peninsula (it appears to be part of a very upscale vacation home development).

Our room, which was on the top floor, had a splendid view of the water (not all the rooms do – the non-view rooms look out to the dusty unpaved local street).

The ocean was so close and it was wonderful laying in bed and listening to the birds and watching the sailboats.

The rooms beautiful and excellent food at a reasonable price.

The staff was very nice and friendly, our room was large, the breakfast buffet had extensive offerings as well.

The spa, gym and pool accommodations were also roomy and clean.

Amenities: Los Cauquenes offers Spa (special treatments are charged separately), a small but well equipped gym (I was told that it will be enlarged for the next season) and an in-out swimming pool.

Great views, the hotel also has a very nice spa/pool area and the prices so reasonable.

Wonderful and extensive views from terraces, the restaurant in the hotel was fantastic. Prices were quite reasonable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were large, the in-out pool was great before a hot jacuzzi and products were fresh.
