The exterior of Longhirst was lovely. The location was peaceful and secluded. The staff were friendly and helpful. The amenities were well-maintained and clean.

For us it was ideal.

We were upgraded to an executive suite. Which Was very nice. Thank you. Also our evening meal was excellent.

I thought thT the breakfast was poor. We were seated in what can only be described as a cafe area and I had to to looking for staff to order a pot if tea. The toaster was broken and dangerous and whenthe breakfast did arrive it was fatty and not well cooked. A simple buffet breakfast would be much better

The hotel is situated in beautiful parkland with a cricket field in the grounds and a view to the local village church spire. Quintessentially English. The hotel iself is a lovely combination of the old and new with bedrooms in the old part of te house which once belonged to the Joicey family and a newly built conference centre adjoining the old house. The stafff were extremely helpful and knowelgeable of the history of the house and the surrounding area. The Boyson Restaurant served excellent food.

The only bar open was the largest one. On the Saturday evening a wedding party was using this. The Orangerie Bar which was adjacent to the Boyson Restaurant was not open. The Prangerie would have been a more suitable room for a pre dinner drink before dining in the Boyson Restaurant.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was impeccable, with spotless rooms and common areas. The hotel facilities were top-notch, including a beautiful spa and a well-maintained golf course. The parking was convenient, with ample space available. Transportation was easily accessible, with nearby bus and train stations. The location was excellent, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.

Nothing to dislike.

The new extensions lacked character, the bar area particularly was soul less too many tables and chairs and not enough lounging sofas. Nice tables and chairs on the lawn but no access from the bars to get to them other than through reception and main door. Shame that the old entrance way hadn't been utilised as the hallway was magnificient.

The grand exterior of the hotel was impressive and created a romantic atmosphere for our stay. Situated in a beautiful countryside setting, we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the opportunity to take long walks in nature. The charming rooms added to the overall experience, with comfortable beds and elegant decor that reflected the historic nature of the property.

The common areas felt outdated and in need of maintenance. The breakfast provided was subpar, lacking variety and quality.

The staff and surroundings were great.

I was disappointed with the room. Although large, comfortable and clean with a good TV, it was very plain and institutional. The bathroom suite was dated and overall the room was not up to scratch for the price.

room was not as described it was a little box room it said it had king size bed which was not slow bar 10 to 15 min to get drink and meal good at dinner time nite time rubbish.

The hotel had a beautiful exterior with a charming, old-world aesthetic. The architecture and surrounding grounds were picturesque, creating a pleasant atmosphere. the hotel was conveniently located near the city center and easily accessible to major attractions. This made it convenient for exploring the city and experiencing all it had to offer. the hotel offered free parking, which was a huge advantage for those traveling by car.

The interior of the hotel did not live up to its exterior. The decor felt outdated and in need of some refurbishment.

The evening meal in the restaurant was of a high standard and was very tasty and reasonably priced. Enjoyed it. The spa was a nice place to relax.

The service at breakfast was hit and miss, the food was buffet and there wasnt much left and a bit dried up.

There wasn't anything that I really liked.

The room was not 'superior' at all by my standards. I have stayed in better 'standard' rooms. In the bathroom there was only one tissue in the box, I couldn't get the water to run hot out of the shower, the glass cup had hardened toothpaste in the bottom and the colour of the suite was horrendous. The bathrobes were rock hard I would have expected these to be soft and snuggle these must have been many years old. Also it was like walking through a rabbit warren getting to and from the room.

The location of this hotel is great for those who love the outdoors. It offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and is in close proximity to golf courses and nature trails. The rooms are comfortable, with clean bathrooms and cozy beds. The staff is friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any needs. The breakfast is delicious and offers a wide variety of options. the hotel provides excellent facilities such as a spa and a golf course, ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The common areas of the hotel could use some updating to match the lovely exterior.

The Staff went out of their way to make my stay memorable. I have ticked the box as "Luxury" but I think "Exclusive" woulkd be more appropriate. For the price I paid over the Christmas period longhirst hall was exceptional value for money. The bedrooms are not massive but they are very clean, comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Each bedroom has hd tv entertainment, Wi-Fi and (an important point) - the heating worked well during the deep snow and low temperatures.

It is a picturesque manor house with a conference centre bolted on.... Therefore, each day between Christmas and New Year there were weddings. There was next to no noise, inconvenience or disruption but............... the restaurant staff had to end breakfast bang on 10am in order to prepare the tables for early lunch or wedding parties ! ! this was my one and only grouse and irritated a few late risers at this time of seasonal relaxation

Bedroom was cold as was the function room. Radiator in bathroom was taped on which was a suprise for a superior room.
