The room was clean and nicely furnished (a bit smaller than many hotel rooms, but fine for us), the bed was comfortable, the staff was nice.
We have stayed many places in our 30 years of frequent travel, and those ranged from cheap dumpy rooms to expensive high-class suites paid for by corporations.
There was a refrigerator and a microwave (and a coffeemaker I think) in the room, as well as a hair dryer and iron and ironing board.
We loved the fact that there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room as it was convenient for heating up baby's meals.

The staff is incredibly nice and accommodating.
The Loma Linda Inn is an older motel that has been updated and the staff is well trained.
The staff is well trained, friendly, and corteous.
They have a free shuttle to take you to and from the hospital, which was a real blessing, since parking at the hospital was nearly impossible!
Everyone I dealt with at the motel, shuttle, and hospital were polite and friendly.
Moreover free high speed internet access.
