Loews Coronado Bay Resort is very inviting and great for kids. It's a bit secluded and has a great staff. There are many activities such as an incredible spa, three tennis courts, three pools, gondola rides, a surfing academy, and access to Silver Strand beach. The rooms, however, have been described as mediocre.

Located in the edge of Coronado Island, the four-star Loews Coronado Bay Resort hotel is only a short stroll away from the Silver Strand State Beach, the Sea World and San Diego Zoo.

Renovated in 2005 the residence features modern design, elegant furniture and high-tech equipment.

All 439 rooms are fitted with en suite bathrooms, satellite television, mini-bars and balconies with panoramic views of San Diego coastline.

The hotel has three restaurants, Mistral, Market Cafe, La Cantina and a poolside bar on site.

The business center provides modular conference rooms and Wi-Fi at the rate of USD12.95 per day.

The Sea Spa offers three heated swimming pools, two Jacuzzis, steam rooms, body wraps and tropical sea stone massages.

By car move west on Airport Terminal Road for 420m and turn slight left to stay on Airport Terminal Road for 300m, keep right at the fork for about 450m and turn left onto N Harbor Dr for 1.4km, turn left onto W Grape Street for 400m and take the Interstate 5S ramp for 200m, merge onto I-5S for 2.4km, take exit 14A to merge onto CA-75 S/San Diego – Coronado Bridge toward Coronado and continue to follow CA-75S for 2.7km, turn left onto Orange Avenue for 1.3km and continue onto Silver Strand Boulevard for 4km, turn slight left onto Coronado Bay Road for 300m, turn right to stay on Coronado Bay Road and you will see the hotel on the left.

General A. L. Rodriguez International Airport is 26.2km away.

Location and the friendly staff, the beach is just a 10 minute walk away, a good concierge can make a big difference on our stay. Common spaces, such as the lobby, are spacious and clean, the $60 per night rooms have free Internet access. A decent work desk and breakfast at the Cafe is great for kids. Best pools i've stayed at is mirage las vegas.

Great views from everywhere and coronado Bay Resort is modern. The setting is nice and the lobby is really pretty cool. The staff is exceptionally friendly and our bathroom had a large tub and separate shower. The food at the cafe is good and the facility is beautiful.

Overall the coronado bay resort was good value for the money compared to the del and the pool area was very nice. The service was excellent and we were made to feel extremely welcome, drinks in the lobby bar were well prepared, the staff were very helpful &. The room was very comfortable, the food in the restaurants was amazing and the waiter was kind enough to take off our bill because we complained. The seafood was very fresh, employees at Loews were incredible.

The staff were very helpful and had everything you needed for the beach, view of the San Diego Bay was beautiful, lobby and upper Lobby was pleasant place to sit and enjoy the breeze. Service was very good and liz at the concierge was amazing. Our room was nice and the food was decent. Dinner at mistral was excellent, the seafood was spectacular, fresh and the presentation was out of this world, the pools looked inviting the weather was not optimal for this.

Our room was clean, large and the view to die for, staff at this hotel were particulary helpful and friendly. The service was good, the sunken tub was very relaxing, the flat screen tv a nice bonus and the food was superb.
