So a great building in a good location but in need of some major refurbishment to bring it up to the 3* standard of most UK hotels.
Ideal location if you have a dog as the grounds are wooded and suitable for dog walking.
Nice quite location - especially on a summer evenning with drinks on the lawn.

Lockerbie late one night as they couldn't get a taxi.
Such as, whirlpool baths, Iron, Hair dryer, alarm clock and most rooms have 4 poster beds.
The hotel room was lovely,clean and spacious with a comfy four poster bed.
Bed was ok and the bathroom looked fine All very old fashioned but it is an old manor.
The double room had been lovingly decorated and the jakuzzi bath made all the difference after a hard day's walking.
We particularly liked the fact that the rooms on the old wing are all very different with some lovely antique furniture and four-poster beds.
The service in the restaurant was highly professional and the beautifully presented food was good value.
The food in the restaurant is great - I can't recommend it highly enough.
We had a very nice meal in the hotel and breakfast was also nice.
The food at breakfast and dinner is truly excellent and the decor of the hotel is truly fitting of traditional manor house.
This proved pretty pointless as I couldn't find a restaurant to eat in (Weds nights must be early closing).
I would definitely recommend Lockerbie Manor as a lovely place to hold a wedding reception - fantastic surroundings, wonderful food and the nicest and most professional staff you could wish to be around on your special day.

The owner and staff are all such lovely people, couldn't be more helpful, they made our wedding day run smoothly and truly made it very special and memorable.
The food for the reception was fantastic, everybody commented on how good it was.
All the rooms are different, they range from quite old looking to pretty modern all very clean.
Our rooms all clean, again no electric socket anywhere near a mirror and the beautifully presented food was good value.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming upon arrival and rooms looked clean and tidy with bags of "character".
