  The drive from grantown to dinnet was awesome, great scenery, the room was a good size on the ground floor in a quiet location and breakfast was fantastic and we would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff were very friendly, owner Andrew Cox was superb and one night in the suite and a taster menu in the restaurant was worth a lot of money. The food was excellent and dinner was lovely.

  As a bonus the surounding countryside is relatively flat and beautiful, good location to play some very good golf coarses. On the plus side, its a cosy place the staff are friendly and accommodating, the food is of a very high standard and the accommodation is extremely comfortable, dinner is more of a dining experience than just a meal. The local people are lovely.

  Ideal location for outdoor activities on royal deeside and excellent hotel. A great venue for hogmany and wonderful Service. Our room was comfortable, cosy, food was delicious and the waitress was attentive pleasant.

  Super place to explore ballater and braemar areas, staff could not have been more friendly. The public rooms are very comfortable, great food and the owners are very helpful.

  Dinner dreadfully disappointing as states has a reputation for quality food and the proprietors and staff are welcoming and friendly. The rooms are clean comfortable and were kept warm all day long.

  The welcome was warm and friendly, the staff, smart and courteous, the service was friendly and nice to see run by a family, the bedroom I was allocated was a beautiful double room. The food was excellent.

  Thanks for a lovely stay, we will return and staff are friendly, helpful and very likeable. The bar is well stocked and has good friendly enviorment, coal fire the lot.

  Friendly and efficient staff, great hosts. Our room was extremely comfortable and dinner the first night was exceptional as was breakfast each morning.
