All that said we did enjoy our stay and found the hotel good value for the Riviera, and an excellent centre for visiting Rapallo, Portofino and the Cinque Terre.
Well located, the hotel is in a great location.
Super location close to Portofino and our hotel the lido palace on the outside is beautiful.
Amazing view, the hotel has a central location and staff were friendly and helpful.
If you are leaving on Saturday morning and require a taxi, ensure you book one early enough.
It's convenient to the ferry to Portofino, and also to the buses to various villages in the area.
The bedroom with king bed and bathroom, up three steps behind the living room, were most comfortable.
At 220 euro a night it was expensive for what we got - a junior suite with plenty of room but average airconditioning, very average furniture, beds & bedding.
The air conditioning did return to normal the next day, but despite the large size of the suite rooms, I would not return to this average facility that lists itself as a 4 star hotel.
5 steps lead down to the bathroom and a further 3 steps lead up to the bedroom.
There are separate air-conditioning controls in sitting room & bedroom.
Also used in the breakfast - food is good.
The food shops are excellent and you would be able to eat very well if you had self-catering accommodation in the town.
Breakfast was good without being outstanding.
Breakfast was adequate for a continental breakast.
Breakfast buffet in a lovely, nice breakfeast menu.
I can't speak highly enough of the staff, especially the front desk staff who organized the return of our cell phone which we had left in Como - 3 hours away!
Additionally reception staff were delightful and the water came out so fine.
I would stay at Best Western and great staff.
