A charming, rustic hotel in a tranquil setting with a beautiful view of the adjacent lake. The spacious room had ancient wooden beams and a well-appointed bathroom. Our puppy was allowed to stay in the room with us. The car park had ample space for all guests. The dinner at the restaurant was pleasant, and the hotel offered outstanding value for the price of the room. a gem of a hotel that is worth a detour.

perfect hotel in a fab and gorgeous location in beautiful forest area, enjoyed this place. i had attractive and nicely decorated room complete with shower, orthopaedic beds, for instance. although some of the staff were miserable, i had a comfortable stay. location: the venue was short walk to rural france, the gardens, and restaurant.

The room was clean and spacious but perhaps just a little dated (shag pile carpet). We did have an amazing meal there and for that alone it is worth staying there. It wasn't cheap (the meal) but it was very memorable. Massive wine list. The setting is tranquil on a lake. The English owner could have had a little more 'sparkle' but guess she is just very busy and matter of fact. Late check out of 12.00 was a bonus for us. Overall, good value and we enjoyed being there.
See above.. I need to read the instructions more fully in future!

We had a superb room with an excellent new bath and shower room. There were tea and coffee facilities and complimentary home-made liquer. Our evening meal was delicious and the owners helpful and friendly. We shall certainly return.

Stunning setting, excellent dining room and terrace. Nice room with lake view, comfortable armchairs, good-sized bed, and nice en-suite. Family-run, comfortable without being ostentatious. Great dining facility with open grand fire and lofty interior. Scores well for cyclists.

I had a wonderful stay at a beautiful countryside hotel with a charming and idyllic atmosphere. The restaurant served delicious food and the room was clean and fresh. The bed linen was particularly nice, and they even included a local aperitif. The location was quiet and the dining room had a huge roaring fire which created a cozy ambiance. The menu, although limited, offered high-quality dishes. I highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.

Friendly welcoming reception and attentive yet unobtrusive staff. Quirky and well furnished rooms. Excellent location and good food.
Shower would not provide hot/warm water.

Wonderful, peaceful location with terrace overlooking the lake.Room spotless and good bathroom.Unlike other guests we found it well sign posted and easy to find. Set menu very good value and absolutely delicious - traditional French with a modern twist. Wines for all palates/occasions.
Nobody to check us in on arrival after 6pm. Restaurant staff apparently not trained up. Our request to eat on the terrace not welcomed initially but by the end of the evening - which was very warm - we had been joined by many other guests!
