However, in general I think this hotel is good value for money and makes a change from the usual chain hotel experience.
Lovely location, excellent value for a quality city centre hotel and an interesting old building.
Location of hotel is excellent, the building also has a nice feel to and prices seem reasonable.
The hotel was clean and the rates were very reasonable.
The location is excellent and the Leopold Hotel is very centrally located in Sheffield within the stylish Leopold Square has trendy bars.

We phoned for 2 taxis back to the airport.
Thats very unprofessional that a taxi taking passengers didn't know where the airport was.
When we returned from the concert our room had had the towels changes, the beds had been turned down with chocolates on the pillow and slippers had been put by the side of the bed - a very nice unexpected touch!
The rooms were nice with flat screen TV and ipod docking station by the bed - great touch!
The bed was very comfortable and the room was very impressive.
Apart from the fact one had to squeeze past the end of the bed and the riduclous chair that was under the desk the room was fine.
The hotel welcomed us, took our bags, and walked us to the room, where the most comfortable hotel bed that I had ever stayed in awaited us.
By then, it was 8pm and their restaurant wasn't open (although we could have eaten in the bar), however, we went for a walk round and there was no shortage of choices of places to eat nearby.
They took my money on checkin but forgot to tell us that the restaurant does not open on Sunday so dinner was a bar meal - selection was from 4 dishes.
While I didn't eat in the hotel except for breakfast there is a good variety of restaurants nearby.
The breakfast restaurant is very narrow and dark, but the breakfast is ok.
Great bars and restaurants in the courtyard outside the hotel, with outside dining set around fountains.
Extremely helpful reception staff helped me to find a speciifc shop in Sheffield by searching the internet, the hotel bar overlooks a lovely courtyard open to the public and filled, the rooms are very nice only a tad small.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful when checking in and gave my partner directions on the phone for the car park.
Did not eat as having a family party nearby, reception were helpful and the polite receptionist kindly provided me.
After the wedding reception my husband and I enjoyed drinks in the hotel bar with a couple of friends and the staff were lovely.
Also not great is the fact that the hotels own website states that there are car parking spaces.
Finding the hotel is a nightmare and so is getting parking somewhere that is open on Sunday.
They validated our parking ticket and this knocked about?
The staff were lovely and the room was really clean.
Bathroom was clean and well appointed although I would have expected a power shower in a hotel of this standard rather than the rather disappointing one that was actually fitted.
Top marks for fresh orange juice in the fridge and a power shower in the very chic bathroom.
