Le Meridien Noumea - Nouméa

I thoroughly recommend watching the sunset, which we did each day, as it is a great location to be watching the sunset on the water.

The amenities were fabulous, great location, we certainly will be revisiting here.

It's location , beachfront on Anse Vata Beach is beautiful and only approx 10 - 15 minutes walk to Baie de Citron ( Lemon Bay ) where most of the cafe & restaurants are.

It is an hour-long taxi/bus ride from the airport (which will cost you 2500 CFP - about $22).

The total cost for the 24 hour hire was less than the 4 adults on the bus to the Airport!

Room was lovely, King size bed, large private balcony (we were at the very end of a block with the balcony shaded by trees), good bathroom, ample toiletries, mini-bar/fridge.

Our room was very comfortable, with a large bathroom (separate toilet) and great appointments.

The rooms were spacious but we had to phone to have fresh towels, toiletries were not replaced when used up, even the toilet paper was not replaced and ran out.

Nice roomy rooms with bathtubs and balconies almost all the upper level roms have a water view of some kind even if through the trees.

There was a unuique picture window from the bathroom out to the bedroom with shutters to close it or additional light if not.

The cost of our last morning's breakfast mysteriously inflated by over 100% between the time the charge docket was signed in the restaurant and the time we checked out, half-an-hour later.

We found the cafe's, restaurants and Bar's in Anse Vata (10 minutes walk) and Bay des Citrons (five minutes on the bus, or a 40 minute walk) to offer a good range of alternatives.

Large private balcony, pool Bar/Cafe excellent and le personnel etait adorable de la réception au restaurant.

The breakfast buffet in the Sextant restaurant was pretty much up to standard, except the omelette chefs (two different ones on different days) were obviously on island time.

Lobby Bar ok, Restaurants ok, Pool Bar/Cafe excellent and the Pool was great.

The Starwood Hotels website had fantastic specials on, all the staff at the concierge desk were cheerful and friendly, the rooms were large.

Fantastic place to stay, good service from all staff and the bathroom hadn't been fully cleaned either.

The grounds are beautifully landscaped, the property has that "touch of class" one expects in a 5-star hotel/resort, and we found the staff friendly and helpful, exceptionally so in a couple of cases at the Concierge desk.

All the staff at the concierge desk were cheerful and friendly.

Fantastic pool (no spa) right on the beachfront and all paddleboat, snorkelling etc was inclusive.

Loads of beach chairs and a beautiful pool, and lovely garden area to sit beachfront in the shade all day with a bar nearby.

There is a lobby shop however the prices are expensive.

The deluxe oceanview room was clean, nice decor with blue and white.

The amenities were to a high standard and the bathroom was clean.

An enjoyable stay, the staff very friendly and helpful, the room was clean.

Although the foyer area and pool areas at the hotel are impressive, there's not much of a 'beach' and the rooms themselves are not much to speak of(for a so-called 5 star hotel), but clean and comfortable, not 'luxurious.

Free WiFi throughout the hotel, the staff were excellent adn very attentative and the deluxe oceanview room was clean.
