Ok but the hotel doesn't seem to be very clean, especially the loby, the chairs were dirty and the smell just at the entrance of the hotel was very bad. And nobody seem to care about the cleanliness and the smell !!

The hotel is located right in the heart of the historic district. Breakfast is on the second floor looking out across Dealey Plaza at the former Texas School Book Depository. The hotel is very close to Union Station and the Trinity Railroad Express from Dallas-Fort Worth Intl. Airport. Taxis are very easy to pick-up or schedule as you are downtown. The room is comfortable and adequate for short-stay city trippers or backpackers. The inclusive breakfast caters for a variety of tastes and is generally ok. The free cookies/milk reception in the evening is nice. There is a good restaurant next to the hotel on the ground floor. There is free internet access in the lobby. There is also normally a 3 mile radius shuttle bus service. There is a Subway restaurant 1 block east and a MacDonalds 4 blocks east of the hotel. Overall its an ok experience.

Advertised shuttle bus service was non-operational during my stay. One of two main hotel lifts ceased operation. Shower in room did not work although you could have a bath. The general area is prone to vagrancy so this is something to watch out for especially at night. You may get hassled at Dealey Plaza as it is a tourist magnet and also at the local MacDonalds.

    It was in dallas.

It does not have much security, I got my car stolen right in front of the hotel street.

Great location beside Union Station the JFK museum and the West End with its great night life buzz and excellent restaurants. Very helpful staff and excellent value form money.

The hotel is long overdue a face lift inside. There was only one lift working and it was slow/in area need of a service. The hotel needs a deep clean. There is an odour in the reception and throughout the corridors and the carpets are visibly dirty. There was hassle getting a receipt on departure with the receptionist arguing that I could. It have a receipt as I had booked through an agency. The wifi did not work for 12 hours and could. It be fixed until the technician came in the following morning.

Location to Conference facilities and Reunion Station.

A bit tired in all areas but probably reflects reduced cost compared to other nearby hotels.

    Staff and location was great!

Not enough parking space. too many bummers be around the hotel. No blank on the beds. small toliets. worn furniture, but it's a ventage hotel. the room was a little dusty.

If you know what to expect you'll have a great stay. I've stayed in 5 star hotels in europe that are worse than this.

Nice atmosphere in old building. Good location. I'm just sorry I couldn't meet any of the ghosts at 10th floor.

I liked it, but I admit it's not for those who don't like old buildings. Those should go instead to any of the dozens of modern skyscraper-hotels in downtown.

The location is great. The staff is really friendly and they help you with everything you need (except for the fatty white girl on the front desk) It's great located in downtown. Next to the Dallas Convention Center.

Dallas downtown is not very comfortable, but the Hotel Lawrence is only four short blocks from the Omni Hotel with its bridge to the convention center, so it was easy to walk back and forth to the conference. It was also easy to slip over to the 6th Floor Museum and jfk Memorial park when I had a couple hours to spare. The hotel provides a private van to drive guests to wherever they want within three miles--I used it successfully to pick up a couple things at an outlying Target.

My room was clean but definitely showed signs of wear. Replenishment of supplies (coffee) was not always attentive. The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired.

Great location, reasonable prices, great breakfast, pretty clean rooms

The only employee worth any salt was an employee by the name of Lenny. The rest of the staff was terrible, from the front desk to housekeeping. Two mornings in a row, housekeeping barged into the room (early) and started cleaning while we were in bed sleeping. Of course that startled us, and when I confronted her, she replied "time to get out, you need to check out now". We were not scheduled to leave until the next day. She started to argue and we really were upset. The next morning, she barged in again, without knocking and said " Ok today is the day you check out, get up" . Can you imagine.... We will never never never never stay there again, and will spread the word, trust me...
