Lara Beach Hotel

Very small downsides - The hotel is in a location that is purely for relaxation.

We were not privy to any information of the number or location of any of the snack bars and restaurants.

Not the hotel's issue, but you also need to know that a taxi from the hotel/airport is to cost no more than 25Euro/30 USD (as of april, 2007).

I reccomend taking a taxi there and getting the free bus back.

We were offered a choice of rooms – either 2 separate rooms or a 2-storey room with twin beds & bathroom downstairs and a double bed and bathroom upstairs.

The rooms were beautifully appointed and very clean although there was one huge bed and the third person in one room was expected to sleep on a sofa which is not that easy for an almost fully grown 15 year old!

The rooms were very clean, towels changed every day and bed sheets once every two-three days.

Our room was for 4, but the fourth bed was a hard smal sofa.

One family said they got an extra bed, but had to rearrange the room to make space as they won't remove the sofa.

During the day you have the option of eating in the main restaurant, the marina poolside snack bar or the Yoruk tent which serves pizzas.

We only went to the buffet restaurant for our evening meals as we never made breakfast, there was always plenty of choice and each night there was a barbecue by the side of the pool.

Food - the Jasmine restaurant served breakfast - just bear in mind this is a muslim country and dont expect bacon and english sausage and you wont be disappointed.

The food was excellently presented in the main restaurant but service in the turkish snack bar was poor.

The bar and restaurant staff are also fantastic, always friendly and smiling and take time to get to know guests on a personal level by remembering typical drink orders and going to great lengths to ensure the guest gets what they want.

All the staff from cleaners, to reception to waiters etc were very polite, and we found that a lot of them could speak English, albeit basic.

02:30 we were greeted by the reception staff with a flower each for the ladies which was very nice,they told us that downstairs in the jasmine restaurant they had put on snacks and some drinks.

HOTEL LARA BEACH IS LOVELY THE PLACE IS LIKE A PALACE , food brilliant complex excellant and very clean, most of the staff very good especially Erkan on reception.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the staff from cleaners and groundskeeper to reception, chef, bar people and entertainments!

There is a gym, sauna, beauty salon, actually everything you need.

The only negatives I came across were a few of the foreign guest were quite rude and had no respect for rules or other guests, they would always use staff only lifts and often foreign children were in the adult only pool.

The neon lights on the lifts provide a great first impression in the lobby area.

Accomodation was really nice and rooms were modern clean and tidy but my parents got a massive front balcony and we ended up with what I called a prison cell!

Beds clean and fresh, but had quilts on, that were very hot, even with A/C on.

Rooms, Reception, Bars, Pools/Pool Areas, Gardens everywhere very very clean would put our Country to shame!

It is spotlessly clean and the rooms are spacious with plenty of cupborad and drawer space.

The staff are extremely friendly and efficient, rooms are large and clean, excellent facilities and a wide variety of food.
