While checking out the hotels and prices in Daytona, I would say that most of the hotels are overpriced because the city is a Ghost Town.
The hotel was clean and i like that was a great price and friendly.
I think they should just add $5 to the cost of the room; most people expect to be able to park in the hotel parking lot without paying an additional fee.
Moreover hotel was clean and the price was good.
Great location for families as has a diversity of rooms, my stay at the La Playa during July 2006 was not a very nice one and the staff was very friendly.
We had to dodge flying palmetto bugs in the room) La playa was a great hotel,and great location.
If you want fancy go down to the Hilton, if you want to relax and spend some time at a great pool and beach location, the LaPlaya is the best deal in Daytona.

One of our guest was from out of town and did not even have a vehicle because they were picked up from the airport.

The beds were comfortable-the first time we've gone and not had a block of cement for a bed, and the in-room A/C was great to have!
The rooms were quite small and the beds seemed a little smaller than your average double bed.
My ceiling in the Presidential Suite was covered with silverfish bugs, there was sand in the bathtub from the previous guest along with their comment card that was still on the bed when I arrived.
Did not clean the room, made only one bed and did not leave clean towels.
The rooms are clean, plenty of parking is available and a nice breakfast buffet is also offered as well as great food and drink at the Tiki Bar.
Between the music at the outdoor bar on one side of us, restaurant is nice.
The hotel restuarant was only open for breakfast, although delicious lunches could be order from the Tiki bar from 11:00-2:00.

I didn't get maid service for this reason and had to phone front desk to let them know I didn't want service as there was no "do not disturb" signs around.

The hotel staff was nice, the girls at the front desk were amazingly helpful and friendly, check-in was great.

The pool was clean, the rooms were clean - YES the elevator is slow, hold on very carefully to the handrails when/if you use the stairs instead.
