Lancaster Hotel is frequented by all types of people and is located in the middle of the theater district and is close to the courthouses. The rooms are a bit old, but they're cozy and interesting. The staff is incredible and the food is excellent. Some critics feel that it's becoming too dated and needs to be redone.

Built in 1926 and designed by architect Joseph Finger in the Italian Renaissance style, the Lancaster Hotel is located in the center of Houston close to the commercial area and tourist attractions including Theater District.

In a good location, great place and price perfect. Service friendly and competent, very comfortable bed. Towards the north of downtown the better bars and the food excellent.
