La Vue Dor Hotel Sorrento - 索伦托

We absolutely loved the hotel and location.

The hotel location is superb (assuming that you want to be out of the town a little) with amazing views and very peaceful.

It has a very remote location but offers complimentary shuttle service into and out of Sorrento.

They advised that they had an arrangement with a local taxi firm who organised a pick up for the 5 of us (plus luggage) from the airport direct to the hotel for 90 Euros.

Hotel is located fairly remotely from Sorrento about 10 km out of town so you have to rely on the hotel courtesy bus or the regular service bus (1 euro each way) or take a taxi (30 euros from Piazza Taso).

The 'double bed' room description is misleading as it is really 2 singles pushed together with nothing actually joining/holding 2 separate single beds, which proved to be a little uncomfortable at times.

Room spotless and the bed comfortable and huge.

We had a room with a double bed and 2 singles.

That night in the other room, we had ants crawling on the walls near the headboard of the bed.

At 3am we moved the bed in the middle of the room while my husband got ant spray from the man at the front desk.

Bar were very helpful, the breakfast was very good too and the pool was a nice treat.

They have a nice bar and restaurant, and also sell gelato.

We were half board, but I have to say the food at the hotel is disappointing; very little Italian food and the rest is not great, if you have the option eat in Sorrento there are some yummy restaurants.

Evening meal: pasta or soup to start and little meat and peas or cabbage for main course plus self-service salad bar (same every night) Food over cooked and often inedible.

Very nice cold breakfast in the dining room.

Family run hotel and staff can't do enough for you and very helpful at all times, waiters and maid service excellent.

One major complement I would give the staff is their Customer service.

Great location exellent staft good value comfortables room, very relaxing away from the crowds in Sorrento and the front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.

There were friendly staff, the receptionist did not have any up to date information and rooms were very clean.

Free shuttle bus and gives frequent access to the town.

We made full use of the shuttle bus, 5: Quiet 6: Most appartments have a beautifull view to downtown Sorrento and the hotel is beautiful.

The room was small but adequate with a great balcony and spotless clean.

The rooms were very clean (some have sea views - but all have balconies with table & chairs).

Staff friendly and clean and comfortable rooms.

Additionally staff were extremely friendly helpful, our room was clean and comfortable, food was good.
