This fabulous spot is close to everything and has breathtaking ocean views. The staff is amazing, the rooms have great furnishings. The charm and history are amazing here, but the room quality varies greatly and some feel that it's not worth the price you pay.

            Great view, very friendly staff, and great whaling bar, wonderful Hotel. Exceptional service, fabulous room and the food is incredible and is an amazing value. The pool is available 24x7 and is long enough for lap swimming.

            The pool and gardens are great, the view is beautiful, LA Jolla is great, the entire staff of the La Valencia is friendly, hardworking, and helpful. The baths have also been updated.

            Great location for walks to the beach and through LA Jolla, nice place. Inexperienced staff, very clean accommodation and excellent food. Good ideas for local attactions, very nicely furnished overlooking pool.

            The natural sounds of the area are much better than canned music and the location of this hotel is perfect. The service is the best we have ever experienced.

            Best location in LA Jolla, very nice shopping district and loved being within walking distance of great restaurants. Lovely stay at la valencia, the price wasn't bad either and the service was exceptional from each and every staff member. The rooms were very clean, well the fish was extremely fishy and I got sick immediately.

            La jolla is a great little town and la valencia is its grand dame, the location is excellent and the service was fantastic. The hotel is historic, the staff is very helpful and polite, la Valencia rooms are more like a Radisson, at best. The pool and jacuzzi are wonderful, the restaurant is fine.

            The location was ideal and the staff were very helpful, LA Jolla was awesome for strolling and eating at little cafes. Poolside service was great and lunch was fantastic, the room itself was very nice and large.
