Oh, and ask the hotel staff what to pay for things before you start hitting the markets, They saved us a lot of hassle and money!
I would avoid recommending the Sultana hotel to anyone: my partner and I visited the Sultana as day visitors to their spa and I had £50 stolen from my money belt - which was in one of their lockers.
We didn't dine at the hotel other than lunch, which is rediculously overpriced and not so great.
Great location to main square, good value and many of the staff were friendly.
The location is fabulous and the hotel is beautiful.

I'll say that if you prefer a transfer from and to the airport from the hotel you should know that it's 3 times more expensive than a taxi which is just 5-6 euros.
This happened as we were trying to get to the airport and turned into a big hassle.
The decor and surroundings are stunning, from the trickling fountains at every turn to the lavishly decorated rooms and the rose petals strewn across the bathrooms.
First the good stuff, attentive service and an over sized very comfy bed.
In addition to the confort of rooms and their amazing bathrooms, there is a magnificent swimming pool and 1200 sq metres of gardens on the roof.
The office area had broadband and a sensible sized desk and chair, the bed was a super king size and the mattress very comfortable.
Our room was amazing, a fantastic bath, dvd/cd player, wine, free soft drinks, fruit and loads of rose petals – even down the loo!
Breakfast and lunch very good, but the only evening meal we ate in the hotel was unremarkable.
Rose petals on floor and towels in the bathroom, mist to cool the air as you breakfast at the roof restaurant, and a tranquil peace which sits over the whole hotel.
We ate out almost every night and there are some restaurants which can only be described as very special, the food and ambience fulfilling the senses we had gone to them for.
We found the food delicious, including the breakfasts which offered the best fresh fruit salad and omelettes I have ever tasted.

The service and friendliness of all the staff was impeccable and truly saved our holiday given the dreadful weather we experienced.

The fresh Egyptian cotton sheets every day and the room being kept spotless made it a pleasure to come 'home' to.
The person who delivered it to the hotel was very clear with the front desk about my name, that I was leaving the country in a few days, so please get it to the room right away, etc.
