La Residence Hotel & Spa Hue - Thua Thien Hue

Elegant oasis on the banks of the river in Hue and great location.

From the location(on the south side of the Perfume River,across form the Citadel, to the food and service ,everything is perfect.

Great location, fantastic pool, great service.

The river boat station is 100m from the hotel entrance.

Location on bank of Perfume River across from the Citadel is beautiful & getting downtown is a 5 min cab ride or 20 min walk.

The room was excellent , bed extremely comfortable.

The room itself was slightly odd--living are to the left and where the toilet was located--bedroom and shower to the left.

Soundproofing to the bedrooms is questionable - one can hear everything from the next door bathrooms, and that from inside ones' own bedroom!

Beautifully decorated, every convenience thought of, supremely comfortable bed!

Sure, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped, if a little choc-a-bloc with "stuff" (particularly the bathroom, where it's hard to find an empty surface to rest a glass of water!

The restaurant serves the best breakfast in Central Vietnam (my opinion only) and the rest of the food on the menu is also very good.

They also dish up incredible buffet breakfasts (amazingly the breakfast was included despite the fact that our booking was one of those bargain basement pre-paid internet rates).

My fiance and I arrived at the hotel at around 9am and though our rates did not include the morning breakfast, seeing how tired we were, the manager offered us breakfasts.

The restaurant was lovely and the breakfast buffet was very generous.

The breakfast buffet was of a high standard and was served in the restaurant and patio overlooking the river, a very pleasant spot.

We were given a welcome drink in the bar whilst the reception staff checked us in.

Later, when I was trying to pay my bill, I had a long wait due to the bartender and another staff member having a long conversation that I seemed to have "interupted" with my request for service.

The staff is very nice and a lot of employees will be happy to talk in french with you, this is a plus.

A nice large terrace was very appreciated, breakfast was fantastic and the pool was fabulous.

The kids loved the free Internet (6 high speed terminals), the pool, the garden and the attentive staff.

A gorgeous garden with a big pool and an amazing view on the perfume river and the Citadel of Hue.

Free wireless internet access in the main lounge area and the hotel is beautiful - a real treat from the hectic streets of Hue.

The bath was clean and poolside bars were excellent.

Everything is very clean and the bathroom is perfect with a lot of amenities and a very nice design.

The room (in the old part of the hotel) was extremely atmospheric, very comfortable and absolutely spotless.

Our room was spacious and clean with good facilities.
