La Quinta Inn Tucson Downtown - 土桑

We walked to the Mexican Consulate offices and to the TBC bus station, using some side streets.

Apparently, all of the room have received new beds and bedding (which feels wonderful, in my opinion).

Much better than the Pueblo Inn nearby, friendly staff and the bed was actually quite comfortable.

The TV in one room had reception on only a few channels without static.

We stayed here for 1 night and had booked 2 rooms over the phone.

The grounds looked much better, as well as some of the rooms (as far as they have gotten so far) were newly refurbished.

The breakfast bar ran out of items many times during our stay and it took forever to fill it up.

For dinner the night before we walked over to the adjoining restaurant ,The Kettle, and found it had basically a Denny's style menu, including breakfast for dinner, so that's what we all had.

The adjacent restaurant [The Kettle] looked like a glorified Denny's with a small salad bar.

We chose LaQuinta because of the breakfast; we ended up eating at the Denny's next door both days because the food was sparse and the tiny breakfast room was too crowded to find a table.

There's also a restaurant adjacent to the hotel that serves good coffee shop grub.

The front desk staff were friendly, knowledgeable and provided great service.

We had a late night issue and front desk staff immediately handled our issue.

Also, the staff made me feel welcome and valued, as if I never left home!

They did however have a decent computer in the lobby, complete with a printer which is convenient for printing airline boarding passes.

They had wireless internet in the rooms but no WIRED internet.

I was surprised to see the inside of our rooms looked just like the hotels we usually stayed at, and our rooms had tons of wear and tear to them, but they were clean.
