  Being in a dog-friendly hotel is a benefit specially when you travel with you four-legged companion. The front desk staff member was very helpful, help me with internet search and printed it the pages for me. Very accommodated and customer service oriented.

  As the review below says the online websites obviously have the rooms which don't sell. We stayed for two nights and found the hotel to be noisy, we were on the top floor facing the car park for the Denny's and the Tavern next door, cars coming and going all hours and people walking past our room at 2-3am talking very loudly. Carpet was wet from airconditioner on one side of the bed and had obviously been that way for a long time. One of the two double beds in our room was terrible like laying on a concrete block.

  Overall the room was in need of some updating but what drew us to it was their very easy-going pet policy. They have no size restrictions and no pet deposit, which made bringing out 90lb lab with us no problem.

  Clean quiet and fun nice pool area.

  Cleaning staff was not helpful.

  My family enjoyed our stay in the area and for being in a hotel we had all the convenience of home. Mostly everyone went out of their way to make us welcome.

• Great help there as well keeping the food stocked and the area cleaned - very friendly there as well. Room was clean and nice - not an expensive motel but a great place to stay when you don't spend a lot of time in the room and just want a nice place to stay at a reasonable price. Also had a pool that was clean and at just the right temperature even!

  We stayed in room 215, two nights with a group for a Riverboat Cruise (which was very pleasant! The staff were extremely nice, however, but the place/rooms themselves were not appetizing.

  There were BEDBUGS in that room, I received these bits the last night we stayed. It was disgusting, the beds were rock-hard (although that may appeal to someone) small bathrooms, no fridge.

• At no extra cost to us, the manager sent over the refrigerator/microwave.

  Pet friendly and plenty of grassy areas around hotel for walking our dog. We stayed 2 nights and the location was perfect for going in and out of the historic area.

  The hotel I had reservations for could not accommodate me a day early, so I decided to stay in another La Quinta since that's where I was staying in at Macon. The rooms are exterior rooms, and the parking lot sure got busy at night. I was a little worried about all the activities going on in the parking lot, and I worried about the car all night long. The rooms itself are decent in size, but the toilet/shower area made me feel claustraphobic. There's a door closing the toilet and the shower from the sink.

  Free wireless internet for your laptop too. The beds are basic - no pillowtop mattress, down comforter, and linens. The carpeting in the room is dark and older, and the bedspreads are possibly the originals, with the dark floral print.
