Pet free. Cleanliness to perfection. We were able to leave our bags free of charge for a couple of hours after check-out. There were good local amenities: transport, ie subway as well as buses which are a bit easier to use with suitcases), eateries (burgers, pizza ["Marabella" is the best], diner, a thai restaurant and best of all a salad buffet at the shop opposite 40th St station). Fridge in room was very handy to store some extras that we wanted to add to the breakfast. Also the free wifi was really useful for us.

Rather noisy room facing main road and subway rail tracks. They do have a few rooms towards the back though but we didn't mind too much.

The staff were extremely freindly and also the rooms were clean and satisfied our needs. The main reason for choosing this hotel was the breakfast as we had kids with us and it made a good start to the day for both us ans the kids.

Our stay at La Quinta was as expected. The room--linens, bathroom--were clean and well maintained. The queen-sized beds were comfortable, although the pillows were small. (3 per bed) It was nice to have a refrigerator in the room and we appreciated that it wasn't stocked so we didn't have to worry about incurring extra charges. There is a nice fruit market nearby so we could buy inexpensive fruit and water and keep it in our fridge. We were close to the subway line so daily commuting into New York City was convenient.

The operation of the shower was very confusing and there were no instructions. (To get the spray to work you had to pull down on a brass ring around the base of the water spout). We couldn't get the phone to work and the ironing board in the closet was inoperable. As a party of four, our towel count varied daily, but when we needed extra, we went down to the lobby to collect them. Breakfast was okay--short on fruit but lots of breads and cereals as well as juice. We appreciated getting any sort of breakfast, frankly,

Close to where we needed to be

Third time at this hotel. Last year on Memorial Day weekend we stayed in the same exact room as we did this trip. I complained that the the door was frame was missing its latch/strike plate causing the door not to latch tightly when closed. They assured me that the maintenance person would fix it but he never did. Not only did he not fix it during our stay, he failed to fix it over the next year! The coffee is horrible, both in the room and the free breakfast area (slow, sparse and looks like mud)

The proximity to the subway, Fairly inexpensive for New York.

Business center was too small. Staff kept turning off the air conditioning when we left. Toilet clogged first night there. Television was much too limited, need to improve the technology.

Location, 15 minutes to Times Square by Subway

Hotel staff is not the best. Especially very noisy employees (maids?), every morning arguing near the breakfast’s room.

      1) It was half the price of similar hotels located in Manhattan and not too far from Manhattan. 2) Clean sheets on the bed.

      1) Staff were courteous but did not deal with any of the questions, requests or complaints that we made in an effective manner. 2) Dirt in the ice from the ice machine - I considered contacting the health inspector about this one especially as the hotelier was rather nonplussed about it! 3) I had the distinct impression that towels we left on the floor to be replaced were simply folded and put back on the towel rack as they had stains on them. Generally, cleanliness did not seem to be a top priority, as was evident from the dirty carpet in the room. 4) The morning cleaning staff were noisy. 5) They had the worst breakfast we experienced in our trip across 5 different american states.

Clean Room, very weel located just 2 blocks from subway station that put you in Manhattan in 15 min.

The position is perfect. The subway is very close to the hotel (less than 5 minutes). The girl at the reception has been very fast and very kind to solve me a big trouble. The hotel is very clean and the room quite big.

The room was under the street level and I has been constraint to close the curtains and to turn on the light during the day. The breakfast room is very small and the breakfast is quite poor.

The room was large compared to other NYC hotels. Great deal, free limited parking, free wifi and refrigerator in room.

The room was dusty and the interior was kind of dated. Took us an hour to figure out how to use the shower.

Fabulous value for money. Location better than expected - metro station just over the road taking less than 15 mins. into Times Square, so even if you stayed in Manhattan itself could take same time to get back to hotel. For UK travellers would say hotel is way better than Travel Lodge or Premier Inn - rooms clean and very comfortable. Breakfast fine with variety of breads, doughnuts, bananas, cereal, mini omelettes, sausages, juices and hot drinks - more than enough to start day. Although brought own laptap an unexpected bonus was that the hotel had a computer available with free usage, inc. internet for customers. Found staff friendly, helpful and responsive.

Lack of tables in breakfast room, albeit each morning managed to get a table for our group of 4. Crazy think is that there is an unused area behind the breakfast bar, so with a little work they could gain more space.

The suite was large, clean and very comfortable. The hotel is one block from the #6 subway and minutes to Manhattan.

Staff wasn't very knowledgeable. Area is marginal.

Hotel lacation was conviniently close to Manhatten. Hotel was clean, the staff was polite and supportive. A little noise form railway located nearby, but nothing disturbing. Free WiFi available in the room was great value.
