The hotel itself is reasonably nice, but the service fails to meet expectations for the price range.
An easy location to get in and out around San Antonio, ample parking and close to the Riverwalk, Alamo and Market Square.
In an excellent location and gREAT VALUE.
Good location to get back on the highway, we usually stay in La Quintas because they are pet friendly.
On both occasions that we used a Taxi the driver went back to the desk clerk after we were loaded in the Taxi.
It's so easy to get to the downtown attractions from here thanks to the bus system.
The room was just fine 2 double beds and 1 pull out sofa bed, we didn't lack for space.
A note about the "suite" moniker: This is not the Ritz Carlton, and just because a hotel uses the word "suite" doesn't mean you should expect the bedroom to be in a separate room from the living area with french doors in between.
Our room was large, clean with sofa bed made up.
The rooms were clean along with the bathrooms and they had upgraded towels and linens which were nice.
The bathroom was not clean and they skimped on towels, and some days I had to call and ask for towels as none were left in the room.
There is no restaurant in this hotel, but you can order food to the restaurants nearby.
But actually the restaurants and shops that are along the Riverwalk are more like 6 blocks away.
It's located very near some great restaurants - Mi Tierra and El Mercado - which are some of San Antonio's best Mexican food restaurants.
Additional restaurants nearby are BBQ (lunch only) and those in Market square.
Breakfast was good, plenty of dining room seats.
I wouldn't say the front desk staff was friendly but they were efficient.
I mentioned it to the front desk and "poof" the next night the guest were enjoying bloody mary's!
The pool and hot tub were never crowded and the elevators came much more quickly that was expected.
First, the elevators are not fast, nor air conditioned.
The pool could get a little busy in the early evening, but quietened down later.
Free high speed wireless internet access in the whole building was great.
The wireless high speed internet was a plus- I was able to do a surprise presentation of a trip to Cancun we are going to take to my finace ;-) We love San Antonio regardless, but the Woodfiled suties made it that much better.
The room was spacious, clean and very confortable.
In addition the staff was very nice and helpful, the room was clean as was the pool, the continental breakfast was very good.
The suites are fine, clean, very spacious, quiet.

In addition rooms are big, the pool is always clean.
