I've stayed a LOT of places in New Orleans (and even used to live there) this place is 2-3 blocks from the quarter, in a central location (right off canal).
The hotel was in a great location, only 5 minutes (walking) from the French Quarter.
The only other complaint I had was the internet in our room didn't work.
The free breakfast isn't bad either, if you don't mind making your own waffles.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
Staff was SUPER friendly, especially this one man who helped us with our luggage.
One more thing, the pool is on the 5th floor, not rooftop.
