• The local family-friendly area (chain) restaurants weren't that great, either.

  Breakfast was good - complete with eggs and bacon/sausage! The hotel was easy to find and most of the attractions were within 10 minutes of the room. We felt it was in a safe location as well.

  Possibly an old smoking room converted to non-smoking. Breakfast had variety but crowded and had to fight for tables and food out.

  The front desk was helpful - gave me a spray bottle of carpet freshener. I opened the window, turned on the A/C, but it smelled dusty, too.

  As soon as the elevator opened, all you could smell was old dust. You could tell as soon as you got off the elevator.

  The room size was nice as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were horrible. There were no bugs, hairs or anything like that, but the room did show a lot of wear. The breakfast was good, eggs bacon, home fries as well as fruit, cereal, muffins and so forth.

  The room had a horrible aroma as soon as you opened the door. We were too tired to complain so we cranked the a/c up and opened the window and it seemed to help a little. I never saw anyone swimming in the pool so not really sure about that.

  We decided to stay an extra night in Memphis and wanted a nice and safe location. Room was nice and clean and breakfast was good. The location had easy access to Memphis and would recommend!

  I booked the room from the La Quinta website the night before after a lot of searching. I called a couple of times to ask some questions & the phone was always answered promplty. The attendant was VERY nice & helpful, Once we arrived, I just told them my name & they already had my paperwork & room ready. The front desk attendant ALWAYS had a friendly smile on his face when you walked by. The breakfast the next morning was GREAT! The price of the stay was definately low for the area (I searched about 20 hotels before booking this one).

• Our rooms, one king and one with two queens, were huge! They gave us adjoining rooms which was nice since I didn't think to request them. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms spotless. The towels appeared new and were thick and nice.

• While the drive-up appeal of the hotel is inviting and nice-looking once you get to your room that disappears. The towels did not smell fresh at all - kind of stinky actually so that you didn't even feel fresh after showering.
