We had a fantastic stay! The room was terrific, with a beautiful garden view. The hotel facilities were great, with a fun pool and a beach bar/restaurant. The location was awesome, allowing us to easily explore the island on the bicycles we rented. The complimentary breakfast was fabulous, offering a variety of delicious options like waffles, quiche, and fresh fruit. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Easy access to what Key West has to offer, only 1 mile to duval street. This venue provided parking. The rooms exceeded all expectations.

The hotel lacked proper signage, making it a bit difficult to find.

Lovely breakfast in Dewey House. Randall was fantastic. Good service at the Beachside Cafe.... when lunch was cold, immediately given another meal with a smile and it didn't seem to be a problem to make us happy.

Staff were lovely apart from Cindy on reception - had an attitude that did not come over as though she wanted to help. This let down the others who were all fantastic, smiley and charming. She needs to think about why she is there. I said nothing at the time but we were not impressed.

Room was great and the location the best.

La Mer Hotel: We stay at many B&B and thought the breakfast was good but not outstanding. It compared to a "Hampton Inn". My wife and I took the last two pieces of Quiche and there were three couples after us that missed out. Our joke was "The early bird gets the Quiche". Also every couple that enters the breakfast area should be quickly greeted before searching for food. The only area that needed improvement.

Everything.the room was terrific, the location was awesome, beach was great, the pool was fun, the music was excellent.

The room was amazing, with a great view of the garden. The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to see and do. Plus, the complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from.

The pool was a bit small and crowded, making it hard to fully enjoy. the music playing by the pool was too loud and not to our taste.

This is an awesome b&B. Location is superb, breakfast on the veranda just like in paradise! Rooms are very cozy and the snacks/fruit/coffee in the afternoon is great.

Yes, it tends to get a bit loud when there's a wedding. But hey: you're on vacation...

Courteous, informative, and professional staff. Architecture of the room, furniture, and amenities were outstanding. Like better hotels, the bed was turned down in the evening with chocolates left which was a special treat. Everything about the experience was high class and superb! The grounds were immaculate. The bed was very comfortable and we didn't want to leave. The food at the beach restaurant was excellent. The pool area was clean and there was lots of room. The location is far enough away for those who want the quietness and close enough to the action on Duval. The concierge service was very helpful. Be sure to indulge in the complimentary breakfast of French pastries and quiche as well as afternoon tea which includes cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit, and a large variety of hot and cold beverages.

What we didn't like was that we had to leave because everything about the experience was exceptional. A truly best kept secret of Key West. If you plan to go, be sure to stay and fully embrace the experience. We will definitely return as soon as we can. :-D

We stayed at La Mer. The renovation that was completed a couple of years ago is beutiful. The room we stayed in was very large, comfortable and homey feeling. The beach and pools were relaxing. We stayed 3 days, whish it could have been longer.

Everything...the room was terrific, the location was awesome, beach was great, the pool was fun (yes, there is a pool), the music was excellent, the beach bar/restaurant was really nice and the complimentary breakfast was fabulous (waffles, quiche, fresh fruit, pastries, muffins, cereal) all with a beautiful view. We flew into Key West and stayed for 3 nights, Friday thru Monday. We rented two bicycles and used them to get everywhere on the island. We past all of the other Hotels we were considering on www.Booked.net and realized that we made the best choice. There was absolutely nothing wrong about La Mer Hotel & Dewey House. We stayed in room 406 which was a room with a garden view and we absolutely loved it and if/when we are to return to Key West, it will be to La Mer Hotel. Ps - this is the first time I have taken time to write a review about a place we stayed.
