La Casa Que Canta Zihuatanejo

The hotel is beyond magnificent - the food, the room, the pool, the staff, the location, the flowers, cacti, the native art every where you go, the view of the ocean.

You can manage it if you are selective with your room location and don’t explore the hotel.

It may have been more to do with our room location, being at the top.

They offered a taxi service from the airport for $34.

Don’t pay extra for the Car service vs Taxi service from the airport- it wasn’t a really nice car and the taxi was fine on the way back.

Our room had a large outdoor sitting area/living room, bedroom with terrace, large closet, large are with two sinks, large bathroom with toilet and bidet.

I wished the bedroom was a wee bit cheerier and wished for a TV and a more comfortable bed.

They put little flowers on your bed in an amazing pattern every night (see picture) and every room has a private balcony and pool.

The interior of the room was nicely appointed and the bed faced a private veranda that overlooked the bay.

The bed room can be airconditioned, and we used it every night.

We had breakfast in the room every morning, ate lunch at the bar most days, had food brought to us all over the resort, and had dinner at the resort 4 out of 6 nights, and it was all awesome!

You can get breakfast and/or lunch at your chairs- no need to climb the stairs to go the restaurant.

There are a couple of restaurants worth leaving to go see, try La Cala for a great view and meal, the Italian restaurant right next door is also good and a nice view.

We loved the town of Zihu and explored many of the local restaurants in addition to the great restaurant at LCQC.

Generally the restaurant wasn't much, breakfast the best meal by far.

The service is excellent and personalized - from the staff greeting you by name to the welcome notes in your room.

The service we received from the staff at Murmullo (especially Mel, Eloin, and Ricardo) was wonderful.

On our last night, room service staff even brought us a special tablecloth and set candles all over the deck - it's the small touches that make a huge difference!

They also have a small but well equipped gym and a small spa but the services are amazing!

There are water bottles everywhere, the pool service is flawless and the Spa unreal.

The gym has moved to a different location since our last visit and is now near the lobby.

Wireless access and Internet access is available downstairs.

We rarely saw the staff yet everything was very clean, and tidy each time we came back to our room.

The rooms are pretty clean and the food is also quite good.

The housekeeping services amazes me-- it's like they know when you leave in the morning and at dinner, and clean your room up immediately.

The gym is clean and well air conditioned with a good amount of equipment for a hotel with only 25 rooms.
