View of lake well worth extra money we negotiated, annecy is a charming town and the hotel is a most impressive building.
Splendid or a host of the other smaller hotels near old town and spend the saved money on some of the amazing restaurants nearby.
The hotel seems to rely on guests attending congresses and couldn't care less about individual guests-paying top dollar!
Beautiful location, the pleasant walk around the lake into town and the hotel is well located at walking distance from Annecy centre.
What a beautiful location right on the lake in one of Europe's prettiest towns.
The hotel is in a fanatstic location but a few simple changes like loungers in the gardens would make it more tourist friendly.

The location right at the lake embedded in a lovely park-like garden matches perfectly, amazing amazing the hotel is straight from the postcard.
In addition the staff were helpful and the bed was really small for two people and uncomfortable.
We booked this hotel due to the lovely pictures on the website, pleasant staff and bed not comfortable at all.
Certain areas of staff eg the resturant go all out to assist the check in staff were barely tolerant, the hotel was very luxurious and rooms decorated to very high standard.
The room was fine, free soft drinks in the minibar were a pleasant surprise and had good facilities.
The staff were very helpful and the bedroom was furnished in a very modern way.
Breakfast was disappointing as the choice was very restricted although we enjoyed an excellent lunch on the terrace and two excellent meals in the main restauarnt.
Non-alcoholic drinks from the mini-bar are complimentary and breakfast is especially great.
The Dining facilities are awful, and on one evening the guests were served at low tables in the lounge as the "dining area" was taken up by a party attending a reunion.
When I explained I had n't realised it was the dining area -he appeared furious that I had entered his arena - and then when I asked for the casino he kept looking to the sky like I was an idiot!
The food was expensive and not particularly good.
The reception staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, the facilities in the room were good.

Very modern hotel, this is an old building that has a great reform and the staff is helpful.
On-site parking was pretty much all, so the walk to the old town along the lake was delightful and a very warm.
food was cooked superbly, spa that was shown to be beautiful.
Similarly there is no pool although you will be offered towels if you wish to swim in the lake.
Hotel had lovely restaurants and one of the rooms was spacious and clean.
Rooms are clean and the restaurant is very good.
