I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location is superb, with easy access to transportation, and also a great spot for outdoor dining with a beautiful view of the garden. The hotel facilities are top-notch, with spacious and clean rooms that have the most comfortable beds ever. The free parking and fantastic breakfast buffet were also a plus. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable.
Nothing bad to say.

The hotel is conveniently located near the road to Preikestolen. Breakfast is excellent en there's free WiFi Internet access.
The hotel is part of the 'Historiker' hotels, but our room in the annex was rather plain.

Very friendly staff
There is no real double beds. In fact, the double bed is just adjusted twin beds, but is is very common problem in Norway. We stayed 9 hotels during our trip around Norway and didn't find a big size double bed anywhere in Norway.

The hotel location was perfect, with easy access to the ferry which took us over to fantastic places like Pulpit Rock within a short time. It was also convenient to reach Sandnes city center. The glasshouse in the garden was a charming space, and we loved spending time there. The room was decent and clean. The bathroom was well-furnished and spacious. The breakfast was pleasant and delicious, and the staff was friendly and offered good service.
The hotel didn't have a gym or any other fitness facilities, which is a downside for travelers who like to stay fit while on vacation.

Good location for many sights in the Stavanger area, easy to find and free parking. Hotel was nice and had atmosphere. Good price.
Whilst staff were polite, they didn't seem eager to serve and smiles weren't often (not the opposite either though). The cleaning lady seemed stretched - at least we neither had a bin emptied nor new tea/coffee and clean mugs.... had to ask for that every day.

Good attentive friendly staff, I asked on my booking for a particular room which I got even tho they were very busy with a conference at my time of stay. Breakfast was excellent !!

The location in its own grounds with gardens was truly exceptional. I loved being surrounded by nature and taking walks along the nearby trails. The staff here were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The room was also very comfortable and had all the amenities I needed, like ironing facilities and a flat-screen TV. I especially enjoyed the delicious meals at the on-site restaurant - both breakfast and dinner were top-notch. the quality of service at this place was truly outstanding.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area. The location, amenities, and services provided here are truly exceptional.

Common facilities (reception, bar, buffet, ... have a very nice design and feel pleasant
Room quite small and simple breakfast of good quality, but insufficient in quantity. Several products were available in too small quantity for the number of guests.

Location and good food
Not a complaint-but I would have preferred more choice for dinner and the menu in English as well as Norwegian

Very good breakfast. Helpful staff. Nicely decorated, according to status - historical. Good place to stay!
Internet connection in the room very poor. No lamp for reading near the bed. Had to get up to switch of the central light.

We recently spent a weekend at a cozy, countryside hotel located just a short drive away from a major city. The meeting facilities were fantastic and the 3-course meal we enjoyed at the end of the day was delicious. We also loved the quaint surroundings and the chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home.
The room we stayed in was a bit disappointing. The furnishings were outdated and some of the amenities were sparse.

Its a very nice building, with some history in a countryside setting. Everywhere old picture on the wall etc. But not old, looks great, and modern big kitchen in the reception area. Rooms are nice, beds very good, candles outside on the terrain at night, good atmosphere.
The food was limited, good, but basically only choice is between 2 main courses and the staff was friendly but just friendly, the hospitality level can be more welcoming. But thats Norway anyway. It is also a bit away from everything.

Breakfast and restaurant were ok
The noise level, which resulted in us paying a hefty price for very little sleep. The building is made of wood, so any trucks driving by send vibrations through the whole structure. The refuse collection truck, which stopped-started in the neighbourhood again and again at 7.00ish A.M. achieved to convince us we would not be staying another night at this hotel. The hotel was in the process of replacing their old tv sets. Rather than doing it during the few hours separating check out and check in time, they went ahead whilst customers were still there. We had left a do not disturb sign on our door, yet returned from a quick breakfast to find our door wide open and workmen telling us they would be done in a short while. We had to wait to access the bathroom (since the bathroom door was very difficult to close, there was no option to use that room whilst they were working in the bedroom) Finally, the hotel is not centrally located. All in all, we were very disappointed.
