Kona Kai Resort San Diego - 圣迭戈

The hotel is in a great location, situated on Shelter Island.

Pretty quiet and great homemade cookies at the front desk; decent location, but their parking situation is confiscatory!

The resort is situated in a beautiful location--Shelter Island.

Some tour buses and trolleys will pick up there, but if a taxi is needed, it's about $25 to downtown, Oldtown or Seaport Village.

They do run a shuttle between the hotel and airport, but reserve space early as it is only a van that can only hold 5 people, including the driver, with luggage.

The bathroom was large, but mostly floor space -- tub and toilet in a large room.

Anyway, the room was nothing special and I could not tell whether or not the room had been renovated, somethings seemed to be newer than others (like doors) while the bed and bathroom seemed dated.

But my room was a wheelchair accessible king room, so the bathroom was extra large and the sink and toiletries were out of the toilet and shower/bathtub room.

After being out all day at the beach with my family, I came back to a room where the beds were not made, no clean towels, no toilet paper and a nasty message telling me that since I did not check out by 1 pm, they were charging me an extra day.

We were sent to a room which had a window and a staircase facing the bed.

Their bar was nice and the food in the restaurant was fine.

Bar were excellent and the restaurant was adequate.

The staff was accomodating, the room was clean and breakfast at the restaurant was excellent.

Restaurant was good for breakfast and the spa was great.

We never ate at the hotel restaurant, but there is plenty of good dining nearby.

The front desk staff was very nice and helpful, maids were prompt in cleaning the rooms, dining at the Kona Kai restaurant went just as well.

Finally after the run around and lack of response from the "resort" staff, I informed the front desk manager that for insurance purposes I was going to file the items as stolen with the Bay police.

The front desk attendent, front desk manager,security and houskeeping staff claimed that nothing was found in the room or turned in.

Loved the view from the room, we didn't stay in the main buidling and great service from all staff.

The pool/spa area is like the backyard of a well groomed home and the housekeeping staff is professional and friendly.

The view of the marina from our room was just spectacular, and the pool and jacuzzi were wonderful.

The exterior is nice, room 140 appeared to be perfect - parking close to the room and the pool is great.

The rooms were clean and nice, a little humid, but very nice.

The bathroom was small and yes a little worn, but it was clean.

The room was average but clean and comfortable.

Rooms are older, but adequate and are pretty clean.

The rooms were clean save the carpet which needs some attention.
