The hotel needs refurbishing but generally I felt that it was good value for money and I'd stay again.
Spend your money elsewhere and let the hotel go out of business.
As someone born and brought up there, I am afraid I am of the opinion that Sydney wins hands down - you typically may pay more but the hotels are of infinitely higher quality.
Convenient location near CBD, proximity to the central city was a bonus not need to use vehicle or public transport to get around and the hotel offered very good rate for room breakfast.
Near to all the shopping areas and the location of the hotel is good.

One of the two rooms we were assigned to -- Room 708 -- had bed bugs and both the adults and a child who stayed in it later broke out in skin rash all over their bodies!
Fine big room, comfy bed, although the room was like something you would see in Dallas!
The rooms were also dirty and dusty, with the bed's headboard covered in a layer of dust.
Friendly Staff, comfy bed and at least the sheets looked clean.
