During our Christmas stay, we loved the convenient location of the hotel. It was close to Hakata Station, making it easy for us to explore the city. Additionally, the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, providing excellent service throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the free breakfast provided, which included nice toasts for a quick and easy morning meal.
One of the drawbacks we experienced was the lack of electrical power points inside the bed in our dormitory room. Although there were a few more power points within the room, it would have been more convenient to have them closer to the bed.

The location of the hotel is excellent, being less than 10 minutes walk from the main train station. Guests appreciate the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, as well as the friendly and helpful staff who speak good English. The lounge area with its attractive decoration and activities provided a pleasant atmosphere for guests to relax and enjoy their stay. Some additional facilities, such as washing machines and bicycle rentals, were available for guests to use.
It is worth noting that there are not many nearby restaurants, requiring guests to go back to the main station for food and entertainment.

The hotel had a great location, being close to several shrines and temples, which made it convenient for exploring. The staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service. Additionally, the tatami mat floors in the room added a comfortable and traditional touch to the stay.
One downside was that towels were not provided for free and there was a charge of 500 yen for them. Another issue was the hot water, which took a while to heat up and didn't get as hot as desired.

In my 10 years of traveling and staying in guesthouses around the world, I have never come across a guesthouse as impressive as this one. The facilities at this hotel are truly outstanding. Firstly, the 6-bed female dorm I stayed in was incredibly spacious and comfortable, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Each guest was provided with two lockers to store their personal belongings. The toilet area and shower room were separate, ensuring privacy and convenience for all guests, even if they needed to shower late at night. Additionally, the common area was spacious and filled with beautiful pictures. Guests could even try on a kimono or spend time making their own postcards or origami. Lastly, the best part was that this hotel had a lift, perfect for those with heavy luggage. I absolutely loved my stay at this guesthouse and I will definitely be returning in the future.
Everything is exactly what I needed and wanted.

I appreciated the free-to-use dryer, as well as the simple but nice breakfast option. The cozy lounge and convenient location of the personal lockers were also great features.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Located within a short walking distance from the station, Kia Ora Budgetstay offers spacious private rooms with their own small bathrooms, providing comfort and convenience. The hostel's common area is cozy and inviting, with a well-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities available. Guests can enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, and water, along with free toast and jam in the morning. The friendly staff offers helpful tips on things to do in the area.
Some beds may be uncomfortable for side sleepers due to their hardness or foam mattress that may dent where you lie.

We had a fantastic stay at this budget hostel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hostel is brand new, so everything is pristine. The shower and lavatory inside the female dorm were spacious and convenient, with a unit to store everyone's luggage. The hotel facilities were top-notch, as there was an elevator to carry our luggage and a great common area with a lobby, kitchen, bar, and lounge. The cleanliness of the rooms was commendable, with plenty of space to spread out and store our belongings. The location was excellent, being very close to the train station. The staff even provided a guide with pictures and captions to help us find our way from the station, along with a map of nearby attractions and recommended restaurants. Breakfast was also a plus, with free coffee and toast available.
There was nothing we didn't like.
