Recreation: For outdoor activities you can have a nice swim in our pools (for adults and children) or take the kids to the children playground or have a game of football or volleyball on our sports ground only at your disposal during the entertainement programme. I had to wait 5 hours to check in and when I asked if there was a courtesy room to change out of my travelling clothes was told that there was a toilet in the cafeteria next door.
Apart from that the apartments are quite spacious but lack aircon, kettle, microwave and the towels are only changed every three days.
Rags for towels, hard beds, pillows not fit for use.
Tthe best rooms around the pool area are kept for the Germans and other non English.
The apartments are spacious and nice inside.
On the cliffs at one side is Lords Bar which is nice,although the restaurant next to it isnt.
At the top of town is the Blues Bar (English) very good and the best restaurant by far was the Vila De Italia.
On the other side the Palmeiras bar is nice with gorgeous food,we ate there when we didnt go into amarcao de pera.
The food as we had gone on a half board basis was not of a good standard although edable and we preferred to eat at the bar near the beach(lords).
After eating in the restaurant on Saturday evening however, we weren't so sorry to find another place for the holiday.
The reception staff are nice and helpful and helped us out when we had a problem with the transfer.
The first thing we encountered were the miserable, rude and unhelpful reception staff - unbelievable!
Nice pool and a cafe that sells nice fresh bread and cakes, coffee etc.
The pool surrounding area is very dirty with muddy grass and fag butts, old food and thousands of flies also a lack of servicable sunbeds.
Could not use the pool area as a result but this appeared to be poorly maintained anyway.
The rooms are however spacious and very clean.
The apartment was clean, but very sparsely furnished and the kitchen was not functional for cooking.
The apartment was spacious and fairly clean, kitchen useless - no kettle, oven, toaster, microwave.
We found the apartment spacious and spotless, checking in was done with a minimum wait and the staff were curtious and friendly.
