I thought several times that compared to overpriced and snooty Riga, this hotel and Tallinn in particular are a bargain at twice the price.
First I looked at the rates at the Hotel Website, then I searched for the hotel at other web sites and found a totally different price - difference in over 30 EUR.
I sent a mail to the hotel and asked if they had any discounts on their listed prices since I had found a much better deal on other sites but got a rather negative mail back explaining why the big difference in prices.
In sum, for what it is, this is an okay hotel - but it is great if you enjoy swimming and (simple) water parks.
The location is very close to Old Town, literally meters, but at its more quiet end, which in the end is more of a blessing than a problem.
Central location for excursion and the Old City is very close to the Hotel.
The location can be beaten though and bring your warm clothes if you are staying in the Winter :-).
It is a great place to stay - for a fairly moderate price - in a fairly good location of Tallinn, and frequent, free and convenient lap-swimming, sauna, and whirlpools will be good for any business traveller and the non-alcohol-bent tourists.
From the airport, take a taxi; from the harbor, walking is possible (~15 minutes).
The room was comfortable and spacious, and featured a flat-screen TV and a large-size bathroom (shower only).

The rooms themselves are pretty funky, flat screen TVs and big spacious beds.
No bath tubs though, just a stand up shower.
I had a 10 day stay in this Kalev Hotel / Spa in one of the main Suite rooms.
The breakfast is sometimes understaffed, but the food offered is quite okay if one understands that this is Finnish (not "Eastern", as some previous reviewer wrote), with many warm spicy items but also with fresh cake and salads.
Breakfast is included in the price, and we found it to quite satisfactory.
It's located on the edge of the Old Town, so all of the restaurants and attractions are within easy walking distance.
The only bad things here are the breakfast (not bad but hardly inspirational) and the parking facilities.
Walking distance from some very good restaurants and decent bars as well.
I spoke to the front desk manager, and she mentioned that maybe it was a language problem.
5-10 minutes of walking to the Old City center and the staff friendly.
I asked the receptionist if my masseuse (and I mentioned her name) had changed her appearance, and she just smiled.
Some of the staff is excellent, and some just doesn't care.
The hotel and its lobby are dominated by Finnish and other Scandinavian tourists which seem to be able to combine heavy drinking and partying with a spa break - this is why they don't use the big pool, I guess.
However, the location and the pool facilities more than make up for the bland breakfast and the [--] parking facilities.
If you stay here you get the pool and spa facilities thrown in!
Helpful staff and always very clean rooms.
