Ka'Anapali Beach Hotel Kaanapali

The hotel is located in a great location within walking distance from Whalers Village and restaurants.

The hotel itself is located right on the beach in what we believe is THE prime location for all activities, from whale-watching to shopping.

We love the location-right on the beach and close to some great snorkeling, Lahina, and The Whalers Village.

Kapalua Bay and to Lahaina ($1 each way, half an hour each trip), and the taxi a few times to get to and from the airport.

The beach was also great, but be careful of the waves - while we were there, they were about 8-10 foot high and very powerful.

We had plenty of room and the bathroom was very nice and the bed extremely comfortable.

The room had a king sized bed, was plenty big enough, and nicely decorated.

There are immaculate gardens, tons of lounge chairs, a Tiki Bar, a Tiki Grill for a quick meal, the Tiki Terrace restaurant for more elaborate food offerings and an outdoor stage where there was always something going on.

Food - breakfast was in with our deal - all you can eat buffet with PLENTY to choose from - we ate at hotel restaurant twice - reasonable price and EXCELLENT food (HAVE THE LAMB CHOPS!

The KBH has two restaurants which are both good, we ate breakfast at both and were happy with the food choices (as were our kids).

All the staff--from housekeeping to guest services to the front desk, as well as all the others we encountered there--greeted us with friendly smiles, "alohas", and a level of attention and hospitality that was truly incredible.

The Guest Services staff got to know everyone in our family over the course of our stay, and made a point to ask us to join them in the lei-making classes and other free activities offered daily.

The customer service staff prides itself on treating guests as if they are family (ohana) and that is exactly how we felt.

Luckily we had a room facing the main area of the hotel (courtyard/pool area) with an open air hallway (RM 453) because in going to the elevators you could see the other part of the hotel which looks older and darker.

Easy access to pool, lobby, restaurants, gift shop, etc.

Our room# 174 is located on the first floor in the Kauai Wing facing the pool/garden.

The first time we entered the room (which was very nice, clean and comfortable) we walked onto the baclony and there was a rainbow that went clear across the sky.

Rooms are clean and a great value especially for Kaanapali and being literally steps away from that wonderful beach!

Our room was average but clean and comfortable.

Our room was spacious and clean, even though we were in an older wing of the hotel.

I had read reviews on here saying that the rooms looked old which is true, but they were clean, and just hadn't been remodeled.
