This hotel is situated a short walk from Union Square, so location is fantastic.

The location is great close to Union Square, easy to get around town from this place.

We used the BART from the airport and walked about 4 blocks to the property from the Powell Street Station.

Great location, near Union square, BART station (took it from the airport), can take the trolley down to Fisherman's Wharf for 1.

The only renovations still happening at the hotel is the restaurant and that was no big deal since we rarely eat at hotel restaurants anyways.

We only ate breakfast at the restaurant located in the hotel, and it was pretty good.

The concierge lounge breakfast was almost top notch and the concierge recommendations on area restaurants were most welcome.

We didn't eat much at the hotel but for the two times we did we used room service, and ate a nice Asian restaurant located in the lobby at the rear of the hotel; food was good both times.

You can take the elevator right from street level to your room without stopping at the lobby on the third floor and changing elevators.

Twin glass elevators shuttle you to and from your floors.

The rooms in this modern hotel are all arranged around a central empty space so you can look down from a balcony to the lobby and watch the glass, pod-like elevators go up and down.

The room was clean, the sheets smelled really fresh and the buffet breakfast was simple.

When we returned that night, the room was as clean as it appeared upon check-in.

Our room on the 18th floor was spacious, clean, and night-time quiet despite only being a block from Union Square.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful and room was spacious and clean.

Again, I can't stress enough how clean the room was.
