It is very overpriced if you pay the displayed rate in the hotel.
I stayed here for two nights and a day and found the hotel to be excellent in value and location and service.
This very fancy hotel has a great location facing copacabana beach but is definetly overpriced for what they offer.
Everything in the hotel is overpriced, internet, drink, telephone ecc.
The location is awesome and the pool of the hotel is nicely situated on the top floor.
Very good location, close to restaurants.
Great location across the street from the beach (they have staff on the beach to provide towels, umbrellas, etc.
During our stay we walked all over Rio, took the subway, and the local city buses.
I should warn you about the hotel "taxis": The doormen will try their best to push you into one of the black taxis that park at the front door.
Our room was not available even well after check-in time and the staff kept trying to give my husband and I twin beds when we booked a king bed.
As mentioned by previous reviews, the rooms are of a pretty decent size, with comfortable beds and well designed bathrooms.
In a few words: worth the price, great staff, comfortable bed, very quiet rooms, nice pool, great place.
Rooms are quite small and my bed was too near the walls it was not confortablke to walk around.
The hotel lobby is lovely and the rooms are the best we've seen in Rio when it comes to the beds (fluffy white bedding), etc.
The main restaurant offers breakfast and lunch buffets and along with a full menu in the evening.
The beds are comfy and the breakfast is amazing the restaurants are just ok.
High speed internet access, bar on the rooftop are really nice and restaurant choice are slim at best.
On the plus side the Sushi restaurant is good, the breakfast good though expensive, and the gym and pool pretty good.
The breakfast is wonderful, although we only ate there one day.
Everyone welcomed us with open arms from the wait staff in the dining room to the bartenders to the concierge and front desk.
Maid service was good, but the concierge seemed like she was doing me a favor everytime I asked for local information.
Location is great, the hotel staff is pretty friendly and the service is fantastic.
The spa and gym are great facilities too, the pool could be better and they could have more chairs, but the beach is to die for and just steps away.
The roof terrace with its outdoor heated pool (open until 10pm) and the gym were other pluses.
The roof top pool has a great view of the beach and city.
The JW offers high speed internet for an extra charge.
This hotel provided a very good, the staff was excellent and the room facilities were very clean and organized.
Room was very clean, breakfast was good pricey.
The staff is absolutely wonderful and the rooms are well maintained and clean.
Our room was spotless, the breakfast buffet was reasonable and one of the gentleman of the concierge team was far better.
While small by US standards, the room is bright, clean and comfortable.
