Jupiters Townsville Hotel & Casino - 汤斯维尔

It has a superb location on the breakwater at Townsville harbour.

A great location very near to the ferry terminal and townsville itself is not the most exciting place in the world.

The location is much better too being in town (I always have my car when I'm in Townsville however).

Townsville is not that big and pretty much anything can be reached on foot, besides the airport, which is 15 - 20 mins away by taxi, which cost approx AUD 20.

I had to leave very early to catch a flight and they did arrange a taxi which arrived on time.

The suite to our delight was enormous, which consisted of a separate bedroom with a king size bed, TV, wardrobe, bedside tables and dressing table.

Stayed over night following Melbourne Cup - room was large, great view of harbour, nice bathroom, great pillows on the bed and concierge very helpful after busy day at the races.

The rooms are a good size by today's standards and the two-room suites are the pick of the bunch, running end-to-end of the hotel (both island and marina views) and at surprisingly good rates, especially on the last-minute websites.

The lounge room consisted of a couch and two chairs, coffee table, dining suite, TV cabinet, mini bar, tea and coffee facilities.

Our room 1419 was an executive suite positioned on the 14th floor with stunning views of Magnetic Island.

Dining: Palmer Street is the main street for restaurants.

We had an ok meal at a restaurant nearby and the town is only about 10 mins away.

That breakfast was timely and great quality.

Breakfast or anytime: you MUST go to The Strand, beautifully maintained beach walk, swimming with nets for stinger season, parks to play, the BUCKET.

The restaurants consisted of two or three, depending on what night you where staying.

Reception staff were lovely, the room service food was great and the buffet breakfast was of a very good standard.

The staff are very professional I get exceptional service and the rooms are a good size by today's standards.

Friendly staff, concierge very helpful after busy day at the races and the room was clean and comfortable.

Casino staff are very friendly and helpful.

The outdoor swimming pool was a fabulous size with plenty of deck chairs and a good size spa.

The pool area is beautiful day and night.

There are expansive grounds on the Bay side of the hotel featuring an enormous swimming pool that has only recently been revamped.

Rooms were clean and modern, buffet breakfast at Aqua was great.

Jupiters Casino is my first choice if you want 'luxury as such', the rooms are a great size, clean, modern, either overlooking the ocean out to Magnetic Island or Castle Hill and city centre, depends on allocation.

Staff are friendly, rooms are you would expect - clean etc.
